Traditional French Fare & Ambiance

I had the menu. Appetizer seafood salad was a meal in itself. Excellent, fresh great variety They didn't have the monkfish brochettes as a main course for lunch, which was a disappointment. The bouillabaisse was overlooked and took forever to cool down. Had to ask the waiter for water... read more

The bouillabaisse was overlooked and took forever to cool down. Had to ask the waiter for water three times. It only came at the end of our meal!... More

Came here when the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed – so glad we did. It looks very old fashioned, but don’t let that put you off. We were given a pre-starter of pate and toast – really tasty, as well as the ubiquitous French bread. I went for the fondant fromage … ridiculously cheesy and creamy …... More

Booked this restaurant on a friends recommendation for Valentine's Day. Had to go with the early service because this place is always really busy. The main room is nicely presented, with a very warm and cosy atmosphere. It was a set menu for the night. Food was really really good, from starter to desert. The staff was very nice and... More

Ate here with family one evening. Was seated by the window on an evening where it was 5C outside and the big glass windows were not doing a good job at stopping the cold from getting in, so much so that we asked to move inwards to the warmth (be warned). Food however was good. Suggest translator for fancy food... More

I always enjoy this restaurant where I spend an evening with dinner every time I go to Toulouse. The ratio Quality and Price is very good and I don't have any souvenir of bad quality or bad service. Also, good point, they speak a very good english Regarding the menu, Regional food, fish or sea food...everything that I like. For... More

We stopped by this renowned and slightly quirky Toulousaine restaurant the other night and, I have to admit, really enjoyed the experience. And we managed to get a table on the 'balcony' part, overlooking Place Wilson and Jean Jaures, which made it even better. The set menu gives a good choice of starters, mains and desserts, many of them showcasing... More

We went there upon recommendation. The location is nice and the restaurant, upstairs, is small and cosy. The decor is... different, but not surprising considering the name of the restaurant, and not bad. Maybe it was August, but there was no waiting staff - the owner was doing service while the other was in the kitchen. So it was bad,... More

This place is in a great central location. The food is good, plentiful and very good value (29 euros prix fixe from memory). The service is rather stretched by its popularity. Our (slightly eccentric) waiter kept forgetting to open the wine, to accompany the generous first course, as the place filled up. Otherwise staff were willing and pleasant.

We decided to spend the euros and go for a lovely final meal in Toulouse at Eau de Folles. The receptionist at our hotel recommended the place as it has a set price menu. Beautiful food in traditional vein which included fabulous salad with duck as a first course and duck slices with pepper sauce and hearty potatoes in cream... More

I came here after reading the menu board downstairs. there was an 18euro set menu which was very good quality/price and highly recommended. choice of 3 starters and 3 mains. my starter was a large salad with foie gras and 3 sorts of duck, two of which were warm. for main I chose the bouillabaisse which looked small on arrival...
