Best restaurant we visited in Toulouse, by a mile

We had such a great meal in Le Bistrot. We managed to book a table for the day after we arrived - be sure to book in advance as it was full every night. The menu was incredible - I could have eaten everything it was that good. A group of us covered a series of mains including lamb, duck... read more

We were last in Toulouse in October 2013, and we had remembered what an outstanding meal we had enjoyed at Le Bistrot - so we decided to go again on our current trip. It's a brother and sister business (Alexis and Gael I think) - he is the waiter and she is the chef. There are no other staff, so... More

Just returned from a wonderful evening at Le Bistrot. The menu is limited to a few set items and a board of specials. Each meal is cooked to order and delicious! It's s very small operation run by a brother (the total wait staff) and sister (the chef) with only 22 seats. Reservations recommended. You won't be disappointed. (The menu... More

Ate at Le Bistrot on a Friday night at a 1930 sitting as I was with a young daughter. Restaurant was busy by 1945 and tables turned. Good sign. I ate from the daily specials which were interesting and well presented. A La Carte Menu was classical french bistro. My daughter chose steak frites. Very good piece of meat, cooked... More

My husband and I have been traveling around France and experienced the most genuine amazing service at this place. The food was a 10/10 as well. I had a delicious salad with scallops and Parma ham. My husband had lamb with incredible artichauts. We were amazed by the quality of the food and service and would happily return here! I... More

This brother & sister team truly delivered for us with a scrumptious meal, great wine recommendations & charming service. The meal wasn't in English however the waiter translated for us. The chef came out & met all clients at the end of the meal. The restaurant was an authentic French experience that warrants a visit & deserve to continue to... More

Overall a great experience at this well run bistrot. The owner provided a warm welcome, attentive and proud of his establishment. The food is top rate and reasonably priced. The location is ideal with a large terrace that allows a glimpse into the life of the city without the drawbacks of being in a busy intersection. A sure bet..

Based on TA reviews I sought out this restaurant. The first night I dined alone and as all the tables on the square were reserved I dined in the pleasant interior. I was delighted with both the food and service. Alex the proprietor and "waiter" was most welcoming and even though very very busy he still had time to chat... More

I recently dined alone at this small restaurant and both the chef and the maitre di were incredibly kind and welcoming. The dishes and the menu were beautifully balanced, with excellent produce, and were well explained. I could not decide what to have because it was all very tempting. I am sure as a tiny place they have enough local... More
