Lovely spot for dinner

The food and atmosphere was wonderful in this bustling restaurant. The service was attentive without being over solicitous, and the food delicious. The only detractor that spoiled the ambiance was a gabby woman seated at the table next to ours who speaking North American English loudly. (My... read more

You can take from "le menu", or go a la carte, or mix and match. It's all delicious (well, I can only speak for what my wife and I had, obviously - I'm not a COMPLETE hog!). The service was excellent - they put up with my shoddy accent and grammar, they were attentive, and made us feel that they... More

Walked over to La Gourmandine based on the Trip Advisor reviews. We were lucky to be a bit on the early side, because we had no reservation, and the restaurant filled up quickly. My husband and I both had the "gourmand" menu...Beautifully presented, and the taste matched the presentation. I had the duck starter, which consisted of fois gras, tartare... More

Nice food and great location are the two biggest benefits from this restaurant. The food is fresh and they create interesting combinations! The quality is worth the price!

I have eaten at La Gourmandine on a number of occasions and enjoyed cosy dinners on cold winter nights and long, leisurely weekend lunches sitting outside on warm, summer weekends. Each one has been an absolute delight of tasty food and beautiful wine. I make a beeline for this lovely little restaurant each time I visit Toulouse.

The starters and the main courses were very good, especially the lamb leg stuffed with ricotta and spinach. The wine recommendation (off the wine list, were looking for a ready-to-drink Chateauneuf) was exactly what we wanted and very correctly priced. The cheese platter is one of the best we've ever tried - the selection, the quality and the maturity. Deserts... More

The only detractor that spoiled the ambiance was a gabby woman seated at the table next to ours who speaking North American English loudly. (My sympathies to her French-speaking companions). I felt I'd been a wee bit lazy in choosing this restaurant as I could see it from my hotel window! However, it was a great choice! The food was outstanding. We all had the cassoulet as main course and it was fantastic. The lemon tart is also worth trying. My scallop starter was also perfect. I didn't see a... More
