We were set to go to Chez Carmen, recommended for the quality of its meat. However, the reviews for the service at Carmen were abysmal. The alternative, suggested by more than one traveller, was Le Chevillard (possibly owned by/related to the owners of Chez Carmen?). The location is lovely, not far from the banks of Le Garonne. The service is... More

We had 600gr of fine beef with a lovely Bordeaux, service was rapid, friendly and food was excellently prepared and served. The price is in line with the quality of the food served.

I was in Compans Caffarelli zone and I wanted to taste something local, so I tried the duck. They took it to me it cooked in a very good way: medium cooking with potatoes cooked with onion and speck... very tasty!

Not a smile was cracked by anyone in the team, it was almost as though they were afraid to take a breath and take the time for a friendly smile. The manager was yelling and frowning and double guessing his staff. The team were running from table tot table, even though they were generously staffed. So: Was the food good?... More

Traditional bistrot with great meat product! Tipically decorated with tables quite close from each other. Helpful and smilely waiters, and great maitre. Honestly, one of the best beef tenderloins i´ve ever tried. Good salads and vegetables to go along. Quite good wine list, eventhough the glases are the usual bistrot glasses. If you insist they can bring you a nice... More

This is not the first time I have souris d'agneau at Le Chevillard. Every time is excellent! With mouth-watering french fries and a cold beer is probably my preferred meal in Toulouse. Two of my kids had the same, and enjoied it. Very good also their creme brulee. I will go back there.

You like meat, you get meat. Simple, traditional cooking with a reasonable selection of wines. Don't ask them to cook the "cote de boeuf" in any way other than theior own preferred manner! It's a solid, consistent place to eat, to which regulars return

I visit Toulouse several times a year for work reasons and have eaten here a number of times because it is close to my hotel. I really don’t understand why it has been rated so highly. The food is pretty average for restaurants in Toulouse and the service I find rather brusque. Head closer into the centre of the city... More

Polite staff, great food and cuisine, decnt wine list in quality and pricing. A not to be missed address for meat lovers: sweetbreads, tripes, cassoulet, ham, saussages try everything.

Great steak with excellent homemade fries! Traditional food, friendly staff, nice ambience, not romance, but solid food for all occasions, been with work, friends, partner - always delivers!
