The vaulted ceiling gives this restaurant a special old time feel. There are seats on a balcony over looking the water but meals are served outside only if the owners feels the weather or the number of clients warrants it. One lady cooks, the other serves. At any rate the interior is very nice and the food is a good... More

Fantastic meal in a unique little restaurant. We dined on a freezing cold Thursday night in January. The restaurant was quiet and we were one of only 2 couples in the place. Our starters of mussels and goats cheese were perfect and our main courses of duck with herbed de provence and fish in a creamy leek sauce were fabulous,... More

Lovely little place to eat, you do need to speak some French. Menu only in French and ladies speak little English. Food really good

. Le Medievial is a great little restaurant. The dining room is spacious and very prettily decorated in an 11th century building overlooking the river. You can also dine on the balcony with the river beneath your feet! The restaurant is run by two ladies in the prime of their life! One cooking and one front of house. The food... More

It was a quirky little restaurant run by an elderly lady who was very kind and tried to be helpful, but her English was as limited as our French,so the menu was guesswork. We enjoyed the meal, and the chocolate pudding was amazing. We ate lunchtime and thought it was expensive for a lunch. Service was a little slow as it... More

We choose this restaurant based on the reviews and were not dissapointed. The fish soup, foie gras starters were excellent. Wine was local and very good value. Mains of Cabillard, steak and duck were all flawless. My brulee, was divine, although my husband and brother did not like the topping of the chocolate fondant, it was easily removed and di... More

We went to this restaurant on a Friday evening. There was only one other family in there and we thought that perhaps we had made a mistake. We hadn't. Madamme was charming and friendly - spoke no English but we managed to communicate with our basic French. We ordered one of the set menus for €29. Mis en Bouche to... More

This is a great little restaurant recommended by both our guide book and our hotel. The room is spacious and very prettily decorated in an 11th century building overlooking the river. We went for one of the mid priced "menus" and everything set before us was delicious but the portions are enormous. I had the chicken livers to start and... More

I thought this restaurant was lovely. If you are in a hurry to eat and leave, then I suggest you go somewhere else. However, if you want to spend a very pleasant and relaxing evening eating lovely food, with time in between the courses, then this is the place to go. Bon appetit!
