Good quality and selection of well prepared dishes from David Blanco with very efficient front of house by Madame Blanco. Normally lunch only

We were lucky to have snagged one of the last tables in this small restaurant, which was filled largely with British tourists. No children's menu, but there was enough on the menu that appealed (moussaka dish, divided into two... and, of course, the pineapple tiramisu to cap off the meal). Service was brisk (and perhaps a bit brusque) but efficient,... More

This was a seriously fine lunch. The setting is modern and the staff are efficient and friendly which is good in a restaurant which is very busy. The menu has a good selection which seemed to have something for everyone. Squid salad was a pleasant start followed by guinea fowl which was superb. Others had the Sea bream and lamb... More

Only open for lunch, and popular with locals and tourists alike, this small bistro-cum-restaurant-cum-traiteur is worth booking in advance. The back half is for (very up-market) take-away meals, while the open, airy front half is for sit-down meal. The menu is limited (and has nothing for vegetarians, unless you eat fish), but the food is excellent. Portions are not huge,... More

An excellent lunch in February, with the main course of fresh salmon one of the best that I can remember since 1958!

A friendly welcome for foreigners, either in French or English, and a lunchtime spot full of discerning local diners as well, all at reasonable prices, what's not to love? We had leg of lamb preceded by foie gras, followed by a peach cobbler crowned by the best vanilla ice cream of my life -- I dare not think how many... More

My husband and I have been really keen to try this restaurant for a while now, but because it's only open for lunch every time we were in Cahors, we were too late but on this visit we finally made it and it was well worth the wait. We opted for 2 courses, I had the duck ravioli with foie... More

We first went to the Blancos restaurant when it was Le Rendezvous in rue Daurade ..i think it was 1990 or 1991. They then moved to rue clement marot (round the corner) It was our absolutely favourite restaurant anywhere. They then disappeared but luckily we refound them at Cote Sud....only open lunchtime but never mind....best lunches ever. We always take... More

This is a great place for lunch. The lunch menu give you a choice of several entrees and mains. My wife and I ordered the duck for main. Absolutely delicious. We had different entrees. Terrine St. Jacque and chevre with ?. We do this so we can share thus tasting different dishes. All three were really tasty. We will surely... More

Excellent value - the food is imaginative, beautifully presented and delicious. There is always a good choice and the service is friendly and efficient. This place is a cut above others in the same price bracket and our favourite place for lunch in Cahors, as it's only a 2 minute stroll from the bustling Wednesday morning market. There is also...
