Just had five courses, bottle of water, carafe of wine ,bread and coffee for two of us--->cost 36 euros. Not at all fancy and le patron hands out plates like a croupier deals cards in a casino but for atmosphere and a good local home feed go here. Not fancy but cheap---well worth a visit. Not for the faint hearted... More

Offers inside and external terrace space, situated upstairs above the highly-rated Cuisine Cote sud restaurant and overlooking the river. Dated decor, but we were there for the food!! We went on a Wednesday lunchtime and had the menu du jour for 15.50 euro, plus a pichet of local wine.Good home-cooked local style food, plainly presented, every table served single handed by... More

Despite choosing the last market day before Christmas, the restaurant was virtually empty! This is normally a very bad sign in France and, with hindsight, perhaps we should have made our excuses.... In a room full of tables, we were given the choice of two only and left to stew whilst our host went back to chatting with some friends... More

We arrived early but that was no problem. The menu advertised at the bottom of the entrance steps was clearly very limited so we knew that it was likely to be take it or leave it! We were seated and wine and water duly brought to the table whilst we took in the surroundings. The first course of vegetable soup... More

We ran into friends while shopping and they recommended this place for lunch. It began with a delicious vegetable soup (very tasty). Next was a salad with warm duck gizzard - very good. (If you tend to be shy about trying gizzard, just jump in - this was wonderful.) The choice for main course was roast pork or a fish/potato... More

We called into this restaurant for a "quick lunch" before doing our supermarket shopping. Five courses and two and a half hours later we were too late to do the shopping as we had another appointment, but we emerged very full and very happy and the shopping waited for another day! It is a good basic restaurant, nothing fancy about... More

I've eaten at this restaurant many times over the past 10+ years, as recently as the summer of 2012. It is my favorite "casual" restaurant in Cahors. The food is always excellent in taste, preparation and presentation, served by the quirky host (sometimes with a thumb in the soup bowl...). The wines are drinkable without pretense and integral to the... More

Enjoyed lunch in this very local restaurant, served by the proprieter who was a bit of a character. Soup from tureen, followed by big slice of ham terrine with local sausage and gerkin as a starter and beef and veg (duck was the alternative) for main course. Cheeseboard (excellent) to follow and a choice of cold desserts and coffee. All... More

We had a great meal here, dont be put off by the fact that there is only one sitting and little choice. The food is excellent and comes in large helpings. It is clean and delicious - we found it a welcome break from the rich 'French-on-show' menus you find in other restaurants. Good wine. Fabuluous value altogether.

My wife and I had lunch at this family restaurant, although we nearly missed it: you have to go upstairs by the sign. There is one menu, with choices if entree, plat, and dessert. But first we had a delicious soup, and before dessert we had a cheese selection. Rough and ready, but delicious! We highly recommend it, even if... More
