Beautiful birthday treat!

I can see from other restaurant reviews in Albi that some folk don't cross the river to eat! Well, you should go over to this restaurant! Great value 41 Euro 3 course meal - food was authentic French, beautifully presented and oh so tasty! We booked through the Trip Advisor link, all went smoothly... read more

Three people dining all chose different menus with fish as mains. The kitchen here is trying too hard to be 'modern'. All three courses were plates full of little bits of this and that, a mushroom with a crisp stuck in it, a softened piece of carrot with some cream cheese, etc...no theme to tie these scattered bits together -... This lovely restaurant is on the other side of the bridge from the main Albi tourist attractions (Cathedral and Henri de Toulouse Lautrec Museum), but it is definitely worth the short walk! A very sweet couple owns and runs the establishment and their pride is palpable. It is immaculate, the service is impeccable and the food (the husband is the... More

Had a good meal here and pleasant evening out but the feeling is that they are trying too hard in the kitchen to impress - similar to the ornate table cloths, napkins and ornaments - they don't go minimalist here! Similarly way too many decorative items on the plate. The foie gras chaud was excellent, ravioli was perfect and enjoyed... More

Rather sticky and claustrophobic on a hot June evening. Short carte and menus with quite a lot of fish which appealed. Good ravioli starter. Rather dry and uninteresting loup. Pot au feu turned out to be just an assortment of grilled fish fillets with a prawn sauce. The plates are considerably hotter than the food. Rather expensive for what it... More

In a quiet street across the river from the main tourist area, this is a pleasant French eating place. The menus offered are good and not over expensive.

We were the second guests to arrive at 7:30 and I would think by 7:45 the restaurant was nearly fully. Fortunately we were ahead of the peak, but one poor couple were at least an hour behind us, having only arrived maybe 15 minutes after. They were awaiting mains as we left. We chose the Eur29 3 course menu, and... More

if you visit the South of FRANCE don't forget to visit ALBI, the Cathedral and the Toulouse LAUTREC Museum. But don't leave Albi without having a nice experience at this restaurant. The " Chef " Claude BERMOND , who spent a lot of year cooking in the best restaurants in Paris is now offering you a nice carte of good... More

Hungry and very frustrated with French bureaucracy, we needed to fill 2 hours between government AND car dealer 12-2 office closures. We had passed the restaurant a few minutes earlier, and my wife had one of her instinct moments. What a find, the €16 lunch menu was superb. The Albi locals obviously think so too. It was packed, but service was... More

t may be because it was August in France, or maybe Albi is the type of place that needs reservations at their finer restaurants. So, after not getting into another one or two, we were happy that this restaurant was open. I love that they had local aperitifs to try, and the artichoke liqueur was a bit odd but I... More
