First of I wanted to say that his restaurant is the reason I actually signed up on tripadvisor cause I really felt the need to leave some positive feedback. We were on a road trip in April and arrived pretty late in Albi. We had called around 8:30 pm and asked if they were going to be open late. The... More

Rainy november day in Albi. I had previously booked the table thanks to TA reviews, so we went there although the best option due to the rain would have been to stay closer to our hotel. But we were not disappointed. It's a family run restaurant, for 20 people +/-, all we had for dinner was excellent, from the apéritif... More

After a very warm welcome on very cold evening, we were settled in to a wonderfully, qwerky but relaxing ambience. The menu was simple, the wine list short and the jazz classic, but the combination worked magically. We left with a real smile on our faces, having enjoyed the tarts - the speciality.

Tres Bon! Excellent food, great atmosphere and lovely hosts! Four of us visited twice, once for lunch and because we enjoyed it so much we visited again the following day for dinner! We loved all the food we tried, special mention for the steak, chocolate gateau (lightest I've ever had) and the house Red! If we're ever back in Albi... More

Food was lovely, all fresh ingrediants, cozy atmosphere, the price very reasonable, service with a smile. Went to celebrate my birthday after reading the reviews, just as described.Do reserve as only a small restaurant.

Excellent restaurant. the server was polished and always smiling. the food matched the good reviews - fresh, local ingredients and seasonal. Yum. We had no reservations on a Saturday in November and hurried over about noon. It was nearly empty and we thought uh oh did we get to the right place, after all, the reviews on TA were excellent.... Unusual for the ambience and for the surprisingly affordable and delicious cuisine. The usual problem with dining at lunch time in France is that after about 2:00, you cannot find an open restaurant, and must wait untl 7:00 PM or later, for dinner. Most people settle for a lackluster frozen (!) microwaved pizza. It is wonderful to report that you... More

My husband and i had a fantastic meal at Ambroisie. Its a tiny restautant which has a lovely feel and the quality of the food was outstanding with generoud portion sizes. The couple that own it are really friendly (without being over bearing) and the cost was very reasonable - my notoriously tight husband didn't moan about the bill once... More

We were looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday in Albi and took Tripadvisor's advice. The little Ambroisie restaurant in the centre of Albi was first in Tripadvisor's recommendations and rightly so. The restaurant only seats 18, but we were able to make a reservation. The food was very good, the service friendly and first class, the house red wine... More
