Small restaurant popular with locals

Cosy restaurant with friendly ambiance. Quality ingredients and reasonably priced excellent quality local wine. Disliked 6 large fish bones in fillet of cod and attitude of young waitress, whose comment 'all fish have bones' was unfitting for a restaurant of this quality.

We were in Albi for one evening in mid-October. The city was uncrowded. We wandered down to this restaurant after reading some reviews. It was a Saturday night, about 8 P.M. There were a few empty tables. We were greeted and directed to a table in the back. There was an elaborate price fixed menu. But we were not that... More

Lovely setting in an 'outdoor room' covered by wisteria so no diesel fumes! A well prepared menu with a difference to other tourist restaurants. Efficient service and reasonable price. Limited opening this time of year.

We visited this restaurant due to its nice ambiance and a recommendation. We were nicely welcome and looked forward to a great meal. I had a starter with a mix of seafood on a bed, which looked like half a muffin with a strange taste. The seafood was embedded in a creamy sauce. Already, when eating, I had concerns due... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the gite where we were staying as being one of her favourite restaurants in Albi and we were not disappointed. We had not made a reservation when we went there for lunch but the staff made us very welcome. It was a hot day and walking to the restaurant we... More

The service, ambience, wine list were good but the food was terrible. My husband sent his dish of segala veal with some kind of mushy filling back to be reheated as it was lukewarm. The unappetising vegetable on one side of the plate tasted bitter and looked like apple. The waitress said it was potato (although there was a touch... More

We have a puppy and the places outside were taken. We asked to sit inside and they let we stay and even offered our dog some water. The decoration is very special and cosy. The menu is huge and you really don't know what to choose, everything seems delicious! Staff spoke English and we had a very pleasant meal, in... More

It was a hot day and all the tables outside were taken. I must admit that the entrance doors to the actual restaurant looked slightly forbidding - you could not look inside properly but since we knew we were in for a treat, we just went in and were pleasantly surprised by the interior decor. The menu of the day... More

Finally a traditional French restaurant, not for tourists alone. Its across the road from The master Toulouse- Lautrec's birthplace. Full of charm with bright paintings decorating its brick walls. After a full day in Albi, a roasted rack of lamb marinated in an infusion of Provencal thyme,is just the ticket. But its the cassoulet of codfish, duckling en confit and savory... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, Hostellerie de Vigan, We found several restaurants near this as well, as we made our way there. The excellent decor, good food and attentive staff ( English spoken) made this a great choice. It was doing a very good trade on a Tuesday night and seemed to be a mixture of tourists (of mixed...
