Travelling through Metz

We travelled through Metz as backpackers. With a 10/15€ budget pr. person we got excellent food and a top food experience. It's a safe choice and full of locals. Best of luck from two Danish guys.

This was by far the best meal I had in France on this trip! I selected it because of reviews on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. Small restaurant on a back street and you definately need reservations. Wonderful, friendly place with very attentive staff. The chef is creative with a beautiful presentation. It would be the first place I'd go... More

Very well organized kitchen. Super service. And most important: excellent food! I asked if they could do something for me outside the menu and, even though the place was full, they did and it was beautiful. They made me a salad with hot and cold foie gras with all kinds of nuts (including pistachio) with toasted fig bread. Everything at... More

We were on a schedule to get to the ferry in Zeebrugge, but still no excuse to eat badly en route. We were rewarded for our research to step in this small, friendly, local restaurant. Though the menu had many promising options, in the interests of time and adventure, we opted for the two plat du jours at lunch. You... More

We first visited this restaurant about 5 years ago and have always wanted to go back. Taking a trip to Burgundy gave us the chance and we were very pleased we took it. The ambiance, food and service was all good. quiet, confident service. no fuss, the food was allowed to take ot's place center stage and the chef made... More

Didn't have a reservation for the Saturday evening, showed up a little late and got the last table in this living room sized restaurant. It was like having dinner with an aunt. We gave the proprietor carte Blanche and had a wonderful evening. Again, foie gras, wines by the glass matched with care, a surprising selection of cheeses and nothing... More

We were here on a business diner. The restaurant is quite small, so i think a reservation is necessary. The cuisine is french, with some specialities from the region. Everything was very tastefull, also with a lot of attention to the presentation. Grat food, great wine and polite staff. Definitely somewhere to return to

The restaurant is a ten minute walk from the center of town or the main railway station. Metz is a lovely city, not unlike Lyon only much smaller, with historic passages and hidden alleys so enjoy the walk and you will see some historic buildings. The restaurant is family run, quite small and intimate. They don't have an Internet site... More
