Cheese, cream, sauerkraut...

It was impossible! Cheese, cream, cream on cheese, cheese on cream... and sauerkraut. I was lost. I definitely recommend it. If you like cheese and cream of course:)

Dined with 8 work colleagues, fantastic French cuisine, week presented, the steak was cooked to peRfection and the pudding was out of this world, definitely recommend.

We took the recommendation of the hotel and tried this place. it was very good. The Veau with mushroom sauce was the best we have had so far in France.

If it is traditional cuisine from this area you are after, you have to come here. It's just excellent.

I really regret going there. I'm not a picky person. After having read the reviews, I wanted to try out the restaurant. I wasn't even greeted when I arrived. The waiter was kind of bossy and the food just wasn't my taste at all.

We found this authentic place on a friday evening. Got a table for two without reservation. Typical elsace-region food. Fresh cooked, not "out of the box". But also nothing extremely fancy. Perfect choice if you are looking for a reasonably priced down-to-earth menue. Broad variety of deserts available...Yummieee! Helpful and friendly service. Clean and tidy place. We'd come back.

The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was very busy and lively, popular it seems with many of the local people. The food was traditional and good. The location is near the city centre,

It is a good choice if you are looking for local cuisine. It is not too expensive and portions are big. I had black forest ham with potatoes and salad and a glass of riesling. I would suggest to be careful with the "extras" (starters, drinks, desserts) as the bill could growth very easily. Apparently, this is true for all... More

When you like tradition in the kitchen, in decoration and in atmosphere you have to go to this restaurant. The salads are excelent (we had salade strasbourgeoise with classic emmental and cervela, and salade vosgienne with lardons and croutons), and then I went for the escalope with Munster cheese and champignons and my partner took a smaller dish: a delicous... Our first night in Metz was highlighted by this restaurant that came highly recommended by a contact in town. The tart was great, my son loved the escargot, and we all had great veal dishes. Portions were oversized and hearty.
