It is worth popping your head around the door just to look at the décor etc. here. I had steak tartare which was superb and came with some of the best chips I have ever had anywhere. The service was very efficient as well. If you are as we were having a day trip to Nancy then this is a... More

As you enter this 1911 restaurant you are transported back a century by the École de Nancy stained glass windows, Art Nouveau furniture, Daum lamps and atmosphere of this Nancy institution. I regretted not having packed my derby for this setting. The maître d’ greeted and seated us, then our waiter smoothed the way to a glorious, and stylish meal.... More

Wonderful food and if you go early you avoid the noise created by Tourist groups from about 8pm. Must make a reservation

Passed by on a Monday evening for business dinner. We had the suggestion, wonderful oysters and a sole, perfectly prepared. Fresh delicious with an excellent service even with almost a full house. Should absolutely be seen, for it's art nouveau style and decoration.

Beautiful setting taking you back over 100 years. Good food, fair price and attentive staff. It is busy most of the time so it is wise to book but the online system works well.

The brasserie building itself is wonderful - we dined there twice as part of a 3-day group tour to Nancy to see all things Art Nouveau - so this fitted the bill in spectacular style. Lovely interior fittings, even huge floral displays on plinths - all gave it such atmosphere along with typical French busy and noisy brasserie style dining!... More

L’Excelsior Restaurant Nancy We chanced upon it and had our lunch at this posh restaurant. Felt very satisfied. I think it was one of our best experience in Nancy. It is definitely one of the better restaurants that I have ever tried in Alsace/ Lorrain region. Just look at the menu, Strasbourg sauerkraut, French oysters, duck fole gras, pea gazpacho,... More
