On arrival in Nancy, we were advised by the hotel staff to eat inthe place Stanislav but to avoid the two restaurants whose names both began with the letter "C". Of the two remaining, we chose Cafe Fo (featured in a Daily Telegraph review). It was the wrong choice. To be clear up front, I do not eat meat but... More

Unfriendly, uninterested waitress, food mediocre, bland in taste. Big chinks of uncut lettuce seem to be latest fashion in France..Why? The view is great (Place de Stanislas, 1 of the ost beautiful squares in the world). Had dinner here, first and last time.

While staying in Nancy we popped into the cafe for a welcome break. It certainly has the wow factor beautiful decor and surroundings and obviously very popular as it was packed with people. The pastries and cakes on display all looked mouthwatering. However we only wanted a drink and chose the hot chocolate which cost 3.4 euro[ having come from Italy this... More

I visit Foy every time I come to Nancy. The food and service are both good. The wine pairings with the Prix Fixe Menu are well done.

We ate in the upstairs restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel manager. The setting was lovely, the service was okay but the food was a little disappointing. With everything else having the wow factor I set my expectations high for good food but it was only okay and I felt the meal was a little rushed where I like... More

Located in Place Stanislas, the restaurant offers a combination of great view as well as good and classy food. Do not miss the rissoto and the Rum Baba! Excellent red wine,

It's hard to find restaurants for Sun. night but this place worked well. The setting, on Stanislas Sq, is beautiful. The food was good - typical bistro food-lots of locals eating there - and the prices were reasonable. Give it a try.

If all you're looking for is a table and chairs to write postcards or simply take in the view of the magnificent Place Stanislas, then make a bee line for Grand Cafe Foy as you will be able to sit there undisturbed for as long as you wish. We sat outside as it was so warm. The whole square is buzzing, which made for a good atmosphere. The tables are very close together so it's a friendly place by default, you know what everyone else is eating and saying. The food was very good and the price, especially considering its location, very reasonable. We had 3 main courses... More

I had a steamed fish basket and creme brulee as desert. Both of them were very delicious. The vendange tardive wine was nice as well, and the prices were correct regarding the location.
