Modern setting, service somewhat slow

This restaurant has striking decor and often has unusual items on its menus. Strangely, we have visited twice for dinner and both times, it was almost empty. The steak tartare is very well handled and they're good with fish. The wine list is eclectic and not cheap. Perhaps the modernity of the... read more

After an afternoon sightseeing and shopping in Limoges, we used Trip Advisor to find a local restaurant and chose Le 27 - situated in Rue Haute Vienne Limoges. We were delighted with this bright and fresh restaurant which provided great cooking, great service and exceptional value. We chose from the €27 menu which provided excellent choice and great cooking. I... More

I don't know which was better the wine or the food. I went there for dinner with 10 other foodies. The service started off a bit slow, we waited for 15 minutes without someone coming to take our drink order or offer us tap water and we were only 1 of two tables in the restaurant. But from there it... More

Came here on recommendation of our hotel Chapelle St Martin, which is part of the same stable and pleased that they did. Modern, interesting decor with unusual artwork, but put together well. Food was excellent from the pumpkin mouse with poached egg, chopped vegetables and a brick of foie gras on toast entree, which sounds unusual but was a perfect... More

L'acceuil (welcome) can manifest itself in many ways from frostily xenophobic to the warm and generous. No 27 in Limoge is the latter: delighted by an imaginative, modern restaurant and committed, charming service from young waiters. The decor and menu are contemporary. The walls are hung with paintings by Edwige Col - think pop art gone zombie. But there is... More

12 July 2012. This afternoon we had lunch at the 27 restaurant, 27 rue Haut-Vienne in Limoges, France. Very highly recommended. A smart and stylish place, friendly service, no long waiting times, and the ‘canelloni du boeuf limousin’, accompanied by salad and a glass of very good wine, had an exquisite taste. A simple dish, prepared with love and dedication.... More
