Charming settings

This place in the open and beautifully decorated is of a standard that is not met by the level of the cooking (a little bit overpriced for what it is).

This place just hit the spot. So simple and so perfect, very pretty patio and only a few tables, the staff was extremely nice to us... and our kids. The food was of very high quality and more creative than in other places we have eaten in the area. If you are staying nearby, its a no brainer for a... More

This truly magical place has become even better than last year. Improvements made to the property but it's simplicity remains. Attention to detail without fussiness is sublime. Augustina's cuisine divine as always, sourced from the freshest local produce. Frankly this place is rather off he beaten track by I'd go there from the North Pole just to keep the warmth... More

Marvelous. Well worth the trip from London, New York or Rome. Charming unexpected Xmas eve 100 per cent organic feast . Delightful magnolia scent and a young adorable lady chef wearing a rose in her hair while serving you with a smile a wonderful crostini with home made ricotta and Swiss chard!

This is truly a magical place. We went from Jose Ignacio for dinner and the sunset was stunning as we drove on the dirt roads. This place is in the middle of nowhere and when we arrived it was dark and we sat in the romantically lit courtyard under a huge guava tree by the fire and had delicious local... More

Fantastic setting and dinner. If you go early enough in season you will be on your own and enjoy the attentive staff, cute dog, and warm fire. Fresh ingredients. Would recommend highly.

An alternative to Mallman's wonderful hotel Garzon is this delightful restaurant run by an ex-chef of his, Lucy, also an Argentinian chef. Lucifer is all outdoor seating, so take an extra layer if you are there for dinner and is walking distance from Garzon's central plaza. Like many places in Uruguay, it doesn't take cards, but you won't need as much... More
