The Ceasar salad was pretty good but I didn't finish after I discovered a dead fly beneath a leaf near the end. I pointed it out to the waitress who expressed her sympathy. My wife's salad w/tuna was a bit wilted and the tuna was overcooked. No adjustment to the check was made.

Beautiful town with a number of lovely restaurents. I went to A Cote, simple, beautiful atmosphere and selected the mean just right for the occasion. I have the beef/veal to cook on a hot stone.. Called DUO. Lots of variables with duck to make it a A Tris ..etc... Sat outside and enjoyed the tranquility of the the square... So... More

If you want to have fun sitting outdoors with friends and family in the Place aux Herbes on a warm summer night, order a pierrade. You cook your own meat (beef, duck, veal or chicken) on a hot plate as you like it, served with various sauces and spices, jacket potatoes and green salad. Can be very delicious. We go... More

A fun evening: cooking your own portions of meat/fish at the table on a hot stone, sitting under the arches with a beautiful outlook over the square. Had to revisit just to make sure ; )

I have visited Uzes three times from Australia and this time went to A Cote twice. There was a range of beef, duck, chicken curry, veal, salads and fish grills. Either cooked for you or do it yourself on a portable grill at the table. We cooked the second time we went and though a bit messy, enjoyed it thoroughly.... More

We were not sure what a 'pierrade' was (though it's obvious if you think about it) but went ahead and ordered one anyway. We were not disappointed - the meat was lovely and tender, the salad just right and proper, thick, chips. Service was friendly and efficient. Sitting in the square on a warm evening, with music playing made it... More

I've been holidaying in Uzes since I was a young child, so I know it very well. This is one of our favourite restaurants. Partly because we have children and they can run around the Place aux Herbes while we're eating, partly because we love cooking our own meat - which is always of a very high quality. We've been... We politely asked for a table for two in French, then declined aperatives but requested water. We watched a couple two tables away who arrived after us get their water, the menu and their order taken. After 20 minutes we still had not received our water or even been given a menu to look at. The waiters seemed to studiously... More

You are provided with a portion (sizeable) of uncooked meat (beef, chicken, duck, veal) or fish, a small salad and some large chips, and you then cook your meal on a very hot stone. It's great fun, especially (with care!) for children. Desserts are not brilliant. The service is good. Not perhaps the best value for money at 18-21 euros... More
