A Good Steer

Referred here for lunch by a local. Spectacular plat du jour of roast lamb with a gratin and haricots verts. Supplemented the meal with some fines de claires. We had some excellent banyuls as an aperitif and a glass of red (nice pour) with the meat. Too full for dessert,

I entered this establishment unsure what to expect. Inside I found a good restaurant with an extensive and interesting menu. I chose a set carte of prawns on finely chopped tomato salad with beetroot jus, then Catalan baked cod on mashed potato followed by pear tart. With a half bottle of wine and coffee the bill came to a reasonable... More

when I went in I saw what looked like some lovely dishes being served and my guests got nice food, however what I got was simply awful. It was supposed to be monkfish on a lemon pasta however I got quite nice monkfish but on a tagliatelle with a sauce which was like lemon curd . . I've a very... More

Real 'French style' restaurant - in spite of the title. We had a very enjoyable meal here with good atmosphere and service.

Our lanlords recommended this place, but we were dissapointed. I had duck breast, undercooked, plate wasn't warmed so it was inedible before I'd finished. OK wine list, poor lighting

Went for dinner on two consecutive nights recently and have also been on 2 or 3 other occasions in the last few years on previous visits to Perpignan. The draw of this restaurant is its open central position and large outside seating area which we have found makes it a pleasant place to sit, relax, eat, drink and watch the... More

Last year I reviewed this restaurant and said I couldn't wait to go back. We had to wait a year but recently did so and once again we were completely satisfied. We were particularly pleased to see Frank again, one of the very finest and friendliest of waiters. All the waiters male and female are welcoming and helpful and professionals... More

Even though we were a bit late for lunch by French standards (2pm) we had superb food and the staff could not have been more attentive and courteous - without being in any way intrusive. The gratinert moules for starters were gorgeous with lots of fresh bread to mop up the garlicky butter. For main course veal kidneys in white... More

This place is awful! We arrived after a days mooching around Perpignan at about 3.30pm and decided to go for a coffee before the journey home. We arrived at this place and saw an empty table so we asked if we could sit down. The waitress asked if we wanted to eat and we said no. The waitresses couldn't cope... More
