excellent fresh tapas

great tapas spot with varied menu, friendly staff and comfortable indoor/outdoor seating. We tried 3 different tapas and 1 main dish. All were fresh and very tasty, probably the best dinner we've had in a week. Definitely worth the effort to find in the crooked streets of the old part of town.

The restaurant is located on a charming, tiny, leafy pedestrian square at the heart of Perpignan's Old City. They serve excellent Tapas - I particularly liked the Gambas and the "Couteaux", a kind of shell - and very nice rosé wine. The waiters were really nice. A charming, highly recommended experience. At night the place becomes even more atmospheric.

Friendly restaurant for a delicious well priced catalan meal. Service a little slow but always friendly, great wine selection.

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Le Figuier; as loyal Trip Advisor users, the rating did not reflect the quality and ambiance of this restaurant. It's truly a local favorite (as indicated by people we spoke to) and the culinary choices are made with personal and passionate intent. It's a small venue run by a dedicated but limited... More

We ate at Le Figuier in early September this year, sharing most of the tapas menu between us. The food was all excellent, really enjoyed the chipirones (mini whole squid) and razor clams with almond - but saying that everything I sampled was very tasty. The location is great, in a small square created from the space left after a... More

Located on a very tiny, pedestrian, leafy square at the heart of the Old City, le Figuier serves outstanding Tapas. I'd advise asking the waiter to bring you a bit of everything, we did this and everything tasted delicious. I particularly liked the Manchego cheese i Membrillo (a sweet quince fruit paste), the Langoustines, the salmon Gravlax, the shells... The... More

I find it hard to believe that people have rated this restaurant as excellent. There's no doubt that the food is very good. But I found the service wanting and the prices closer to Parisian than to provincial. The setting is attractive with very little passing traffic, but the Villefranche Marble terrace was dirty. Just because the restaurant 'floor' is... More

Every time I receive visitors, I take them here. The menu changes regularly, always offering both meat and fish options, with an impressive tapas/appetizers menu. The restaurant is very large inside with multiple stories and an adorable outdoor seating area in the summer. The owner is a very friendly man who is often seen on the floor serving tables or...
