This restaurant always offers well priced, quality daily menus from fresh local produce. And the wine list is excellent.

My wife and I ate on Friday evening in November after shopping in Perpignan centre. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it a lot. The food is excellent and the atmosphere good, and it is excellent value. The restaurant was busy, and we had reserved - advisable as le VIP is popular. It's a great location near the shopping... Dining out at Le V.I.P on the spur of the moment was a mixed experience for us. The entree we chose, a beautiful tomato and mozzarella cheese dish with just a hint of basil oil was a beauty, one of the best dishes we've had in this trip around the south of France, light, flavoursome and simple, just about perfect.... This place (which we chose because it was open on a Monday, one of the only restaurants in Perpignan to be open that day in August) deserves to be rated one of Perpignan's top restaurants : Located in a very quiet little street, offering in summer the possibility to dine on the narrow terrasse, or at any time in one... VIP is a super little gem, tucked away in a side street Opposite Maison Quinta. The menus are varied - very good value for the plats du jour. It can get very busy and soon fills up at lunchtime, so get there early.

VIP has a deservedly fine reputation as one of the best in Perpignan. There is a deceptive air of chaos about the organisation, especially if you sit outside on the small terrace and watch the comings and goings of staff between VIP staff and the establishments a few doors away....but the food is divine (if you're feeling truly self-indulgent try... Lucky enough to get a seat here...the food was absolutely incredible at a very reasonable price. We loved the fact that the waiters were casually dressed, and the food so sublime! A definate must for any visitor to Perpignan. Enjoy your visit!

We found ourselves unexpectedly in Perpignan and chose this restaurant from the menu outside, we were not disappointed. The food was interesting and well cooked, the wine (recommended by the waitress) complemented it well and the whole meal was very well presented and good value. Although it was busy, the service was efficient and relaxed. Very happy to recommend this... More

As usual, the highest of standards. Asked friends to visit whilst in Perpignan and we were not disappointed. Sans doute, nous reviendrons demain pour la tarte fine aux pommes !! Beef dishes fantastic - on the wine list, go for the Chateau les Pins ! Paul
