The food was great on our recent visit. Lot's of fishy fun and imagination. The highlight however was the sommelier who introduced us to an absolutely stunning white wine, L'Espirit from Domaine l'Horizon which is in a village called Calce up in the hills to the north of Perpignan. Just fantastic and difficult to describe with any sensible remarks. Dry... More

We went on a Saturday - we forgot they don't do set menu's on Saturday - but we only had one day in Perpignan and we thought what the heck its the last day of our holiday. If you can get to it mid week the menu du jour is wonderful value at 22 euros. Having chosen to push the... More

We had the cheap menu d'affaires at this busy little restaurant near Le Castillet in Perpignan. Very friendly staff made for an enjoyable meal, but there was little evidence of Michelin star quality on display on this menu. Very good value for money, though.

We had a delightful dinner in this very nice, unstuffy, top quality restaurant. Chef Comes' focus on local, seasonal ingredients pays off well in the artfully presented, tasty food. The small menu has a broad scope, but the specialty is clearly fish, vegetables and fruit. I had a shrimp and gazpacho appetizer and the dorade (sea bream) with porchini and... More

The food is excellent and the presentation beautiful. The service is a bit lacking -- not trained by Parisian or New York standards and the decor is weak but the food makes up for it!

After too much shopping at La Roca Village, we unfortunately missed our reservations at Auberge du Vieux Puits and had to settle for our 2nd choice here. We ordered the lunch special, which consisted of a salad, a chicken with pea risotto and an excellent apple sautéed with ice cream. The chicken was decent, but the sauce didn't amaze. At... More

Firstly the set lunch menu for 19€ is good value but that day was a bit boring, a gazpacho and chicken breast for main, so we ordered a la carte. The entrees were limited and we could only go for the foie gras, which was 2 huge slices (shared) A bit expensive at 24€ when you only have to open... More

What a terrible disappointment! Totally overpriced. We have no problem paying the price for great food. Both main meals were very fussy and nothing outstanding. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming and sterile. Terrible shame.

This was a third visit in as many years. The stars here are fish, seasonal vegetables and fruit based desserts. A fillet of delicate white fish was perfect with several varieties of steamed and puréed courgettes. The wine list has something for everyone and plenty of local choice. Despite the location in a rather grubby street the interior is pleasant.... More
