Great ambiance but quirky. Inside its like an Antique shop ; in fact it is an antique shop as welll as a restaurant as pretty much all the decor ( other than tables and chairs ) is for sale. Unfortunately the food was pretty average ; My entrecote was overcooked and tough and a pretty poor Tarte Tatin. Fun but... More

Eclectic but tasteful opulent decor coupled with a skillful chef made for a wonderful evening. Meli Melo was recommended by our concierge and we were delighted with our experience. The staff was patient with our halting French, and the food and wine were delicious. Outdoor dining is available, as well. If you are lucky enough to visit Narbonne, this is... More

Delicious fresh food with generous portions and the wine was great as well even though I ordered the cheapest one! Staff very attentive and polite and sitting in the street was an unusual yet quaint setting. Nothing bad about this place, highly recommend it!

This little restaurant in a quiet back street in Narbonne is a pleasant place to visit. The décor is odd, but overall feeling is one of warmth and comfort. The owner is lovely and pleasant and makes helpful suggestions and is genuinely interested in his guests. You feel like you are entering his home. The food was not exceptional, but... More

Do like the chair you have been seated while dinner? Buy it! Le Meli Melo is offering – aside wonderful cooked meals – all kind of furniture which is placed at the restaurant. So, the interior is changing from time to time. The food is fantastic - grilled mussels with aioli or duck in orange blossom –doesn’t matter what you... More

I was in this restaurant 4 days ago . The place is charming and let the customer in a very nice atmosphere . Service is nice too even if they , sometimes, may be a little overpassed . I should be a little less enthousiast about cooking . I tasted a plate of pata negra which was good but no... More

I was introduced to this restaurant by my girlfriend and really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is full of antiques and spacious tables in various parts of the premises, some of which are fairly private. The menu centres around items cooked on the restaurant's wood burning open grill and most main courses are meat based. We both had an excellent... More

Reccommended to us by our taxi driver, we just asked for a nice restaurant. Definitely quirky so I can see why the furniture does not appeal to everybody, but it was so so grandiose and different to the other smaller quaint restaurants we had dined in so far in the area. The prices in no way reflected the quality of... More

Three of us went there for dinner. We went in. The decor was the first thing that jarred. All in awful taste and utterly naff. The service was dreadful. The waiter was terribly overfamiliar and inappropriately touchy-feely. Absolutely nauseating! The waitress appeared to be another guest at the restaurant and spent most of the evening carousing with another table, occasionally... More

You enter an exotic room with flowing sheers and an eclectic array of furniture and antiques, and your senses are drawn to the open fire in the back where the chef grills his meats. Great vibe and obviously very popular with locals and tourists alike!
