fresh & tasty food : a real pleasure, pure and simple

Do not miss this place. You may need to book but if you come early you may be lucky. The owners are exquisite, as the food. An excellent mix of flavours for a tastefull meal, in particular the salads.

I came to Narbonne in July 2013 to spend the day, and after several hour of seeing the sights, needed rest and refreshment. I found this lovely restaurant in the old city and fully enjoyed my meal on the street terrace, watching people walk by. I returned this past week and wondered if it were still here. To my delight,... More

Such a lovely surprise upon entering this restaurant! small and quaint! loads of character. The food was excellent along with wonderful service. I would go here again if I got the chance. The coffee was also excellent.

Yesterday we had lunch here for the third time and it really is a little gem. A very simple tiny room, just six tables inside, with Monsieur cooking behind a counter and Madame serving. The food is very simple too, excellent Bruschetti and Tartes Salés, but generous portions and always served with a good salad. The €12 lunch included a glass... More

We have eaten here a few times and I always enjoy it. We've usually had the salads. Today we tried one of their "main" dishes. It is light eating and is not a typical French restaurant with courses. They divide the menu between different types of quiches, salads, main plates and what they call bruchettas which is a large slice... More

During a power cut we found this gem. Delicious salad with spicy sausage and ratatouille. They even magicked up a fried egg for the top of it!

I passed by this restaurant by chance and was intrigued by the smoked salmon and spinach tart proposed on the blackboard outside for 8,50 Euros. I was not disappointed. I was so delicious that I requested the recipe with the promise of not opening up another restaurant nearby. A very cosy and welcoming place on a rainy day in Narbonne.

We had read about La Mallicolo on Tripadvisor, so when we walked past it at lunch time it was an obvious choice. There were two other tables occupied as we walked in to a lovely warm and cosy restaurant. We were greeted in a friendly way and shown to a table. The young waitress brought us menus and explained the... More

We struggled to read the menus, having no French skills at all and decided to eat at a little cafe in a side street. It was fantastic! The food was awesome, I had enchiladas and my husband had the burger. All very tasty and the service was fantastic too.

After a morning in Narbonne we decided to stop, like the French, for lunch. Just down the a small street from the cathedral we came across the bright "La Mallicolo". We took a table outside and ordered a light lunch, My wife had a grilled goats cheese and avocado salad with Mango dressing and I had a Martinique style bruschetta... More
