Situated on the main boulevard overlooking the canal that passes through the centre of the town this restaurant has an Italian bias, regardless of its name. We ate the plat de jour... An escalope itallienne, beautifully prepared. We each chose a dessert from the carte. Tarte fromboise, café gourmand...service was friendly and efficient. It proved to be a very good... More

We had coffee and croissants each morning here and the fabulous vegetarian omelettes at lunch. These are great to taste and good value too. The service is very friendly and helpful. We would have liked to have dined there in the evening , as some of the meals looked good too, but maybe another time.

The waiter didn't even bother to say hello or to talk to us. He obviously wasn't made for this job and spoiled our short stay in this restaurant.

Ate here on a Thursday (market day) with friends. I've been before and thoroughly enjoyed it - very good value, excellent food (I had an omelette and salad) accompanied by a decent wine. My dearly beloved had a seafood salad and pronounced it superb! She then asked for the cheese board; an enormous board was brought to the table by... More

we had our breakfast here before we set off on our journry back to England. Chose it for it's setting by the canal and in the morning sun. More expensive than other places but really good quality, freshly squeezed juice. Lovely waitress.

I give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 rating on price/value, a 3.5 on food quality, and a 3.0 on service. At 30 euros for a lunch for two people including a beer and a Perrier this is a relative bargain. Having only 1.5 waitresses for fifty diners is not! Great portion sizes - a lunch salad that was... be there early by 12 at lunch time as it soon fills up with locals or better still book the pleasure is sitting outside on the wide pavement looking at the canal and its trees and watching the world go by very professional young ladies, good menu, the dish of the day often the star all the three main dishes...
