Good food, reasonable price

Ate here twice as a couple, having the fixed price lunch and then the dinner on another day. For both the food was excellent an tasty. Sat outside for lunch, in the sun and the service was good and friendly. Inside the restaurant has a beautiful vaulted ceiling. The chef here is very talented... read more

Reserved a table at Le Duo as hubby could not get a table last time he visited. Upon arrival, the "grumpy old man" as per mentioned in previous few review greeted us and said precisely this. "I knew nothing about your booking, I don't really care who you are" Given my poor command of French, I gave him the benefit... More

We ate here on a Saturday evening and wished we had gone elsewhere. I had the 28 euro menu and my partner chose a starter and main a la carte. The menu offered canard en croustillant which turned out to be two small greasy deep fried duck rolls on lukewarm mashed potato, lacking flavour or finesse. Main course was a... More

We ate outside last July and the terrace was just lovely even though people around us smoked like chimneys (maybe they should think about non-smoking areas...). As it was very hot that night, we only ate salads. The size was good, maybe more than what we needed but it had nothing special about them. A bit too much dressing, not... More

The food this restaurant serves is good, but the waiter who served us gave us the feeling that customers were judged by their appearances. When we asked for a table, the first thing he said was that the restaurant was fully booked (not really a surprise, because it was a saturday). Then after two seconds he said to wait and... More

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Le Duo, literally right outside our doorstep (our apartment door coinveniently opens onto the square). I had the vegetables as a starter and the scallops (Saint Jacques) for the main. I have nothing to complain about as far as the food goes (but my boyfriend did state that his duck was a bit different... More

We approached Le Duo from the "hippy" end of town where tiny streets suddenly open up onto a beautiful square containing 3 restaurants; one really expensive, one pizza/pasta and Le Duo, make sure you sit in the right one. The set menus at €24 - €36 have just a couple of choices on each menu each but ino compromise on... More

Both the 3 set menus (formules) at 24, 28, and 36 Euros as well as the a la carte dishes are excellent value in this funkily decorated contemporary restaurant in the heart of the old town. It is located inside a medieval building under huge vaulted arches but decorated in an up to date and minimalist style. The lone server... More

We stumbled upon this restuarant in the centre of the old town and thought we would give it a try. Although only 7.15pm, early for dining in France, and the restaurant was not yet open we were greeting very warmly and it was suggested as it was cold and wet outside that we take a table and have an aperitif...
