Welcoming and knowledgable staff, beautiful historic setting, superbly cooked and presented food... not to be missed. After dining in some of the Michelin star restaurants in Paris we didn't expect to be in such awe of this restaurant, but happily were! The menu is not too extensive but offers sufficient choices, and the wine list was impressive. Our bottle of... More

The meal was delicious - inventive and tasty food in a beautiful setting. It surely only needs a small tweaking of the service for a Michelin star. With only three guests waiters should know who ordered what. The wine and water glasses were sometimes not refilled. There was a long wait for the check. All this is minor however when... More

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Montpellier. Service good, a very good local Langedouc wine list and the food is very good. The only negative is the menu is limited. We did not find this an issue as we liked all the dishes on offer. Went there twice. Overall 15/20.

Local and fresh products, great service, excellent local wines. Starters and main dishes make local and fresh products shine. They are simple yet very innovative. Desserts are also fantastic, and even the mignardises will surprise you. The owner and all the staff love and know their craft and it shows. Even the setting is outstanding, although I have yet to... This was the second time I've enjoyed this restaurant and I was not disappointed. Impeccable service, inventive and delicious cuisine, and of course the signature aligotte, a wonderful mass of potatoes, garlic and cheese served with a flair table side. The little extras complement the meal, from the amuse bouches at the beginning to house-made chocolates and jellies to finish... More

Set in old town Montpellier, La Maison de la Lozere is top notch service and top notch food in wonderful surroundings. We sat in the courtyard and loved it, but the interior of the restaurant also looked gorgeous. The food was artistically presented and tasted phenomenal. Service was perfectly paced (even though we arrived later in the evening) and the... More

I've been to this restaurant several times and was never disappointed. If you have ever eaten haute cuisine, you may think that the portions are small and the prices are high. At the Maison de la Lozere, you can get a great meal for only 30 Euros - if you go at lunch! The portions are relatively generous, but even... More

What a beautiful restaurant! After having booked a table before our trip to Montpellier, we arrived there not knowing much about it. What a revelation! The staff were friendly, helpful and discreet. And the food! Sublime is a good word for it. Just delicious (although make sure you are hungry when you go there) - very delicately prepared regional food.... More
