We totally enjoyed our lunch at Le Jardin des Sens. The restaurant is located 15 minutes walk from from the 'old city' & outside doesn't look much. However the glass cube dining room with gardens all around is tranquil. The staff are very professional & the feel of the place is a little bit traditional. The 49euro lunch menu is... More

We booked a double room with the "du terroir' menu and breakfast. A very warm welcome on arrival from all the very helpful staff. The room was excellent. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Quiet and good air-conditioning. There were ample and interesting " nibbles" with aperitifs and then on to supper. A generous 'amuse buche' would have done as the... More

Food this good should be illegal. Easily the best meal we've had in Montpellier, and at 49 euros each for the degustation "du terroir" (including matching wines but excluding apertifs) excellent value. Note: this price I believe only applies mid-week; it's a lot more on weekends. The menu was a crowd pleaser; put together with foodies in mind but nothing... More

Fantastic prix fixe 3 course weekday lunch (plus more: amuse bouche 2x). Very professional and hospitable staff, beautiful presentation, and delicious. Romantic setting. A great value at 49 euros given the care and quality of the meal. I was lucky to be able to walk in, and would definitely go again.

Lunch - and the morsels of loveliness just kept appearing - from the moment we entered this wonderful place to our departure 2 hours later our senses kept on being thrilled - from the wonderful food, the attentive service, the light on the pool, the glow of the garden in the mid day sunshine to the affordability of the whole... I was very excited to dine in a Michelin restaurant, frankly because I work in one and really had never sat down to eat a "star" meal. It was quite an experience. I chose the dejeuner menu, which cost like 50 euros, with three courses, and later got the "house" champagne. I wasn't expecting much, considering this was not the... More

We went a couple of years ago to this restaurant which had 2 michelin stars. It was a fabulous experience so we decided to go again this year. Well it was a big disappointment. The restaurant is now down to 1 star and it was barely a one star restaurant even though the prices are still high. The food is... More

We came down from our room and were immediately shown to our table, where aperitifs were proposed. There does not appear to be a separate bar as a holding station. Our menu was part of the "Sens et Saveur" package and we need not have worried that a package would be in any way inferior to what we might have... More

Go for lunch! Half the price, you can enjoy the beautiful garden in the daylight, and still have time to digest for the rest of the day. We got what was supposed to be the three course lunch menu with a glass of wine for 49 euros a person, but in reality with the amuse bouche, pre-dessert and frivolities, it... More

Unpromisingly located but a haven once within this lovely foodie cocoon. There were some flaws, for example an over-rich (too creamy) langoustines in courgette flowers but this came swimming in foamy, creamy, soupy sauce. Also, one of the waiting staff was sloppy in not removing redundant, used plates as we proceeded. But, is it a flaw to fail to warn... More
