A Pleasant Evening

We stumbled across this little restaurant whilst looking for a place to eat dinner. The staff were friendly and polite. Our waitress was kind enough to translate our menu. The meals were very tasty and reasonable in price. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We ate here twice in a long weekend - the cafe is in a back street - with two or three others - mostly eating outside - the menu is quite short with a 'special;' that changes every day. The place seems popular - and for good reason - the food was good - there was no fuss - just... More

The "old city" has a host of small eateries; they are generally improved by the fact that the area is car-free so noise levels are very low and air quality very high! La Cocotte is in the southern part of the city, close to beautiful St Roch church and within ten minutes walk of Gare St Roch where the TGV... More

The service was very friendly, and food fantastic. It was a busy Friday night and we were very well looked after. Highly recommended, especially the canard!!

We are staying here for a few weeks and have gone plenty of restaurants for lunch and dinner. we stopped for lunch here after it was recommended by a colleague and we are so glad that we did. The terrace was full so we sat inside and it was perfectly quirky, clean, and relaxing. We glanced at the menu but... More

Everything was just right, the food, the decor, the staff, the atmosphere and even the dog! We booked a table for 7.30 and were the first ones in there but it soon filled up. Every course was faultless. We had ravioli salad and savoury tiramisu, beef fillet with dauphinoise potatoes and gambas with tomato tart, and for desert, the salted... More

We always enjoy France and love to go out for dinner. This was really an extremely positive experience. We took a 3 course meal and we loved all the courses. Great tasting and also well presented food (not always the case in France). One of the best meals for I've ever had. A+++ A must try! Only downside: the small... More

Homely little restaurant looking for an almost achieved balance between feeling at home and unexpected dining. A two or three couses menu is offered with a resonably wide choice: I ate a salmon starter, a wonderful duck breast with goat cheese and a stunning white chocolate and raspberry dessert! Few places, so think of booking in advance! Pros: inventive interpretation... More
