Each summer, I come back to Montpellier and lunch at this place at least once. It has never disappointed me. The food has been consistently excellent and copious, the service great. The ingredients are local and healthy. They encourage local businesses by selling a local beer from Sommières, for example. Try the outdoor seating if you can. I haven't tried... More

We were lucky to stumble across this restaurant and get a table without a reservation (though it was packed). It's small, with really charming decor and incredible food! The staff were very friendly and talkative (in French). Definitely one of the best restaurants that I've tried in Montpellier.

Friendly, quick service and great food. Go here on every trip to Montpellier. Their onion tart is to die for (part of the main mixed tart dish).

My wife and I enjoyed an very good meal here. Service was excellent, prices were reasonable for Montpellier old town. The restaurant has macaroni cheese as its signature vegetable! Whilst we enjoyed it on the night we were there I'm not sure I would want it every time. That may also explain why we did not need to book.

Great food, good prices, eat there. They gave my wife the English menu which had the great quote at the bottom: "Sorry the wine list is still in French, it is too much trouble to put it in the computer". The meals were hearty and the main featured great macroni and cheese on the side which I wish we had... More

Delightful little cafe, bar restaurant that makes a great deal of its connections with the southwest of France. Its main line of food is delicious home cooked tartlets with a variety of toppings served with substantial and imaginative salads containing chick peas with cumin, couscous, slow roasted fennel dressed with olive oil and lemon juice, tomatoes, roasted courgettes accompanied on... I loved everything about this tiny restaurant on a narrow street - the quirky decor, the classy mood music, the cheery and knowledgeable staff who are plainly passionate about their 'food of the south west' ethos and the hearty food which made no concessions to modern 'delicate presentation' trends. Starter of onion and olive 'pizza' topped with minced rabbit was... More

Best restaurant we visited while visiting friends in Montpellier. The restaurant is cosy, with pleasant background music that does not get in the way of conversation with friends. The staff and owner are very knowledgeable on the wine and foods they serve. The price of a three course meal and wine is excellent for this area of France.

Went here a few years ago and the food was quality, going back to the south of France in April and will be definitely coming back!

This is one of the best restaurants in Montpellier. Fresh, seasonal produce, friendly service, and a lovely cosy atmosphere. At lunchtime they do a platter with a selection of delicious tarts and various mouthwatering accompaniments, which always comprises fresh products and very generous portions! The dinner time menu is excellent too, with specialities from the region, the duck in particular... More
