Fun, quirky, tasty dining experience

This was a great approach to enjoying small bites of lots of different types of food. The proprietor was incredibly gracious, and did a great job of making us feel welcome. What a unique, amazing restaurant! Went there and ordered the 18 glasses for 36€. Absolutely delicious! Wish we were in Montpellier for longer!

Just great fun. We need one in London. How to describe, it sort of a French version of tapa. Order your drinkes, and then go to the counter and choose the glasses of food, yes I did say glasses. You can order a set meal, or chose your own, we chose 10 between us, very odd way of eating but... More

After a full day of walking around Montpellier city.. i needed something laid back for dinner so i went to Playfood in Montpellier. .. it's a pocket size restaurant & bar that serves food in Shotglass (it's simple and French) and a bar with an eclectic choice of alcohol. Don't underestimate the size of each dish.. it comprises a mixture... More

My friend and I found this restaurant by chance, it seemed to be the only place in Montpellier with any life in it. Once inside, it transpired that the only reason it had any life in it was because there are only about eight tables and four were taken. The idea of the restaurant, as many other reviews have said,... More

Having picked out this place to eat with a couple of vegetarian friends, we had such a great meal, we went back for more. I can't remember each dish, but the tastes were all fresh and delicious. Truly great food, but a different concept, tapas style, in that you have lots of small portions but meant you are overwhelmed by... More

As 2 British veggies, we normally find eating out in France to be a less than satisfying experience, since chefs often give veggie dishes less attention than the meat or fish ones. Not here! The dishes served in the little 'verrines' were all delicious and it was great to have such a range of tastes. Don't think that you will... More

I ordered 6 different ( small ) cups to taste. At least 2 were fantastic; another 2 were good. I finished with a to-die-for chocolate mousse underneath, baked on top. The waiter offered to let me taste two wines to choose the best match. Decor, like many places in Montpellier, is eclectic; this is a come- as-you-are place. Definitely fun... More

Nice Restaurants with great food. Staff is very friendly! A excellent alternative to "classic" Restaurants. High value. The interior could be better, doesn't make a good 1st impression...

My family, girlfriend, and I all loved this place. What a unique dining experience! Very relaxed and non-touristy and local. A French take on tapas: wonderfully executed; yet the food is uniquely French. The owner himself graciously attended to us with great care and enthusiasm for us Americans. He explained the unique ordering process, which is simple - you order... More
