French gourmet tapas - how fun!

Small and intimate place with great service. Dishes are served in small glasses, which means you can taste about 8-10 as part of your meal. About 2Euros per glass. Most were really nice. Highly recommended

Visited on a stormy night in Montpellier, but it was still busy. A stunning variety of delicious dishes, served tapas size in little glasses - good for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Intimate setting (only a few tables) with a correspondingly good service. Recommended.

Lovely welcome. The variety of choice is exceptional and the flavours & combinations often belied the ordinary appearance of the "verrines". So many "samey" restaurants around. Come here if you want something really different. Go raibh mile maith agat.

Went to Playfood for dinner and had 9 glasses picked out by the host, who also does the cooking. He is very friendly and explains each dish as the flavours (his English is great!) the food was very tasty and I enjoyed being able to experience so many different options! Would definitely recommend Playfood if you're in Montpellier. Great service... More

Tried to get a reservation in a Michelin Star Restaurant in Montpellier on a Monday evening. Most were either closed or did not reply to reservation inquiries. Whatever, we finally went to this innovative place: Took the 18-glasses- menue with very nice and partially brave taste combinations (w/o meat). Price is very decent.

This was a great approach to enjoying small bites of lots of different types of food. The proprietor was incredibly gracious, and did a great job of making us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and perfect in bite-sized portions. It's the culinary equivalent of tasting ice cream - just a bite of everything!

Just great fun. We need one in London. How to describe, it sort of a French version of tapa. Order your drinkes, and then go to the counter and choose the glasses of food, yes I did say glasses. You can order a set meal, or chose your own, we chose 10 between us, very odd way of eating but... More
