Good value but let down by poor desserts

Our "menu saveur" for two was good value at 58€ and our wine - cotes de thongue - was excellent. But,oh dear, the desserts were tasteless. Why, oh why, can so few French restaurants give you a decent end to the meal? And why doesn't Tripadvisor have a grade between "Average" and "Very Good"? This... read more

Les Vignes was possibly the best dining experience we've ever had. The service was fantastic- our waitress was lovely, particularly in attempting to explain the menu in her very limited English and generally making our meal a very sunny experience. We walked into a charming little place and stepped out into the courtyard in the beautiful light of early evening... More

A beautiful room plus a very pleasant rear terrasse. Friendly and welcoming owner. Each course was delicious and beautiful. Excellent value. The 29 euro menu was better than several more expensive meals we have had recently. We will be returning very soon. Highly recommended.

A nice romantic meal. Seems small from the outside but inside is quite contemporary and stylish. Some outdoor seating downstairs at the back. Very good service and delicious food with great wine with a good list. The Degustation on the menu was worth the try! If you like surprises that is . Located just off a square and the lovely... The food is very good at a reasonable price. The ambiance is very pleasant. The only problem we had was the very loud servant who talked endless to their customers. After a correction the lunch went on in a quiet atmosphere. After all a place to return.

First hesitant to get in, we went downstairs and found a very nice atmosphere, typical for the Montpellier old city. The food was very good and the price decent, also for the wines. Service was somewhat slow, but who cares if you are on holidays in good company.

We went back to Les Vignes following a first great experience last year. First of all, ignore the rather boring, unremarkable entrance and ask for a table outside: you are immediately transplanted into another century, onto a quiet Hôtel Particulier patio. Fantastic for romantic dinners... Note that the arched inside is not bad either... Fresh, creative food. Following an unexpected... More

Myself, partner and daughter went to this restaurant last week. It was raining very heavily at the time and we had walked from Comedie. When we walked in the door we were asked if we had a reservation, as we had not, the waitress made a bit of a face and said that she would see what she could do.... More
