Warm and friendly atmosphere

Staff very friendly and helpful - especially when in transit with luggage - service was fast and accommodating. Food was very tasty with minimal wait. Plenty to eat - we are not leaving here hungry!! Loved the vibrant decor and energetic staff.

Fortunately, three of us could find a table without reservation, although the restaurant was quite full inside. There were also seats outside, but it was not warm enough in September. They have only one meal, but enough for us to come twice in a week. The meal is 19€ and you get a salat, steak in special sauce, big portion... More

L'Entrecote has a set formula. Salad, steak and chips with a special sauce for the steak. No surprises. Good quality and speedy service. You know what to expect and standards are always maintained.

...you'll soon be at the front and then enjoying the choice free menu this place does so well. Oh yes, don't forget to choose your drinks! I asked for my entrecote rare and was a bit alarmed to see something that looked like it had just been cut off the cow, shown a frying pan then put on my plate,... More

We visited a sister restaurant some years ago in Toulouse on recommendation, When we came across this branch we decided to see if it was still as good . It was. It has one dish- steak and chips. A fixed price menu of 19 euros includes a starter of dressed green salad with walnuts and bread, a carafe of water... More

Visited Montpellier after 13 years since I lived there. This restaurant was top of my list. You can't book and so we had to queue at 10pm for about 15 mins as there had been a storm and the outside tables were wet. The staff work incredibly hard. The food was divine. Service was a little rushed but I still... More

It is around 12 years since we last visited Montpellier and ate here. It is just as good as it ever was. I did read some of the recent reviews and smiled at the 4 star ones that said there is no choice. Correct! This restaurant does exactly what it says on the tin, serves just amazing steak with saignant,... More

This place is always full, has had its followers since it opened and not without reason. The staff are pleasant and go about their task of keeping a full house (dozens of tables) satisfied with a smile. The down side for a long time customer is the very slow downwards trend in the food. The salad sauce is not as... More

Basic lettuce & walnut salad, decent steak, nicely cooked. Very ordinary chips lots of dessert choices. It's fun and not too expensive: everyone should try it once!
