Good location close to the seafront in one of the charming tiny streets of the old quarter in Collioure. Very nice attentive waiter. Outside table. I had the best casseroulet de pecheur you could wish for full of delicious seafood, fish, mussels, prawns, calamari on a potato base with a wonderful soup. My fellow diners enjoyed a Dorado dish and... More

Great find just off the main harbour strip (where prices are high and quality not so). Ate here with another couple of friends and we all went with the menu. Excellent. From the sangria right through to the desserts was all a delight and the servers were friendly and having a laugh with us all through the meal. Great atmosphere.... More

After a long day on the beach and with a hungry three year old and a diabetic in our group, we managed to find this restaurant which served before 7pm. Although the restaurant is small it was very clean and well laid out and we were heartily welcomed. The service was informal at best with the friendly owner and waiters... More

We went there due to our usual restaurant not having enough staff on so service was non existent. We came across Le Puits and saw some space was available. This is a 2 person operation but service is prompt, food well cooked and a good selection. Locals were there eating so that is always a good sign. If it had... More

This restaurant was buzzing with locals and we waited 10 minutes for a table inside, it was wet and cold outside. For us this place still feels genuine and not just there for the tourists, it is open all year round, not just for the season. We were the only English there. It is not haute cuisine but then neither... More

Three of us went to eat having noticed this restaurant seemed busy, although only with British tourists. we were suitably seated, offered drinks and menu in the usual way. on ordering 1 scallops, 1 duck and 1 baked cod, the food arrived surprisingly quickly and we were warned by the waiter of the extremely hot plates. These plates were way... More

Steak was good, pasta not nice, fish stew (cassoulette de pecheur) unedible (got sick from having two bites). Did not have to pay for the stew, and management was very sorry, offering something else.

Negligent, rude, VIOLENT. Our experience went from bad to worse. It would take me hours to tell the her whole story of our experience. In short, it was filthy, cockroaches, disgusting toilet, average food. Over-priced. This is all nothing compared to the horrendous owner. We explained that I am allergic to dairy (not just intolerant) and that it was important... More

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. We were lucky to get out in one piece. Well, if I were to tell the whole story of our experience I would need much more space. In short, we went to Collioure for the day as we were staying in the Pyrenees. We wanted to find a good restaurant for lunch as we... More

I can hardly believe the poor reviews this cracking little restaurant has received. Either those people had unrealistic expectations or the chef had an off night, as we found le puits to be a friendly cosy bistro with really good food and fantastic service. The moules with saffron and basil sauce were amazing as was the entrecôte. Top marks.
