Some years ago L'Amphitryon was our favourite!  They had the most delicious seafood and professional and excellent service. Unfortunately, the restaurant changed management and staff, and so did our opinion. The food and service are now both of medium quality, but perhaps it will improve! Tju2013

What a perfect scene: big moon, stunning view of Collioure, gentle waves lapping on the beach. We chose the L'Amphitryon for dinner last night and weren't disappointed, I am happy that we hadn't read the previous review first, because we might not have tried it . In essence the food was delicious and very fresh, the service was attentive. I... More

Final night dinner in Collioure. Lovely atmospehere, great food and live music too. Enjoyed it immensely but you have to pay for the honour! Ideal as a final night treat, but too much for a normal night out.

We decided to eat here on the last night of our holiday as we though it would be a treat to sit close to the sea, and it was a little more expensive than other places we had tried - so we assumed it would be a little better. The waiters were friendly and welcoming. The starters were beautifully presented... More

This is a slightly upscale restaurant compared to the many restaurants in Collioure. The location is quite good, with outdoor seating overlooking the Chateau Royale and the sea. It is right next to a small pebblestone beach. The restaurant looks quite lovely, and the outdoor seating is nice a shaded in the summer heat. I had a selection of shellfish... More

This establishment seems to have undergone a number of changes in recent years, but the general concept has not changed. Depending on when you drop the pin along that timeline, l'Amphytron has either been on the right or wrong side of average, but it has never managed to get above that level. As at July 2013 the predominantly male staff... More

We were very excited going into this restaurant as it looked lovely from the outside and the menus seemed like good value. However we were left sitting for over half an hour before an order was taken and we had long waits in between courses. We found the staff were not very friendly and the whole service seemed very disorganised.... More

I have been coming to Collioure for the past 15 years and as soon as we have booked into our delightful little hotel ( Boramar ) further down the pedestrian walkway, we stop for lunch here. I immediately realised that things had changed - different waiters, different menus and even less space between the tables ! A waiter confirmed my... More

We ate there twice in our stay in Collioure. Our first dinner was fine , service was fast and efficient. We ordered the St Pierre fish which came with vegetables which we enjoyed. Restaurant is in a nice location opposite the beach and has a good view of the town. So we decided to return the next day. I ordered... More
