A great find.

Wonderful wonderful food and gracious staff. One of the best salads ever. The menu was priced very fairly and had a nice mix of local specialties. We lingered there for hours. A very popular spot, reservations suggested.

We went in for the price fixed menu and really appreciated the quality of the food you received for the cost of the meal. It was a quaint little restaurant with outdoor seating and about 12 tables inside. The amount of food was more than enough to make sure that you did not go home hungry and the service very... More

The Sole here was amazing. We ate here at lunch time and the food was great and the service was good too. I would travel a fair way to have sole this good again especially in France where fish isn't always the freshest. A great little restaurant.

We had dinner here last night for dinner. The place was hopping but we were able to get a table without a reservation. I ordered the Chef's Recommendations for the evening; small clams in a light broth with tiny pieces of chorizo and fresh grilled sole. My husband also had the clams but had grilled shrimp and lotte for his... More

Tables very close together as previous reviews have mentioned and it's not a large restaurant. We got there early so had no trouble getting a table, but it was packed out later and people were turned away. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was fabulous - a platter of ham, Manchego and anchovies to start, followed by simple... More

From the outside El Capillo seems quite a simple restaurant with basic décor and tables that are quite close together. The food, though, is superb and we ended up eating dinner at the restaurant on three of the five nights we were in Collioure. Some of the dishes that stood out for us were starters of salmon and of squid,... More

Best tapas in town - and a lovely and charming service and restaurant. The best wines of the holiday was served at El Capillo.

Nicely decorated small restaurant with pleasant and attentive staff. Excellent starter plate of Serrano ham, Manchego cheese and anchovies. Followed by delicious seabass and then crème catalane. The bottle of rose wine we chose was very good and reasonably priced. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The food here is really food and fantastic variety. We started with the Tapas platter (lovely) and the grilled calamari (best ever). Great service too!

The problem with Collioure is the number of small cafes and restaurants. We tried El Capillo on the basis of its lunch menu (19.5 € for three courses) and Trip Advisor. The starter and dessert are the same each day (salade Collioure or Serrano ham with tomato) and creme Catalan. We had the tuna main with ratatouille and new potatoes.... More
