Best tapas in town - and a lovely and charming service and restaurant. The best wines of the holiday was served at El Capillo.

Nicely decorated small restaurant with pleasant and attentive staff. Excellent starter plate of Serrano ham, Manchego cheese and anchovies. Followed by delicious seabass and then crème catalane. The bottle of rose wine we chose was very good and reasonably priced. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The food here is really food and fantastic variety. We started with the Tapas platter (lovely) and the grilled calamari (best ever). Great service too!

The problem with Collioure is the number of small cafes and restaurants. We tried El Capillo on the basis of its lunch menu (19.5 € for three courses) and Trip Advisor. The starter and dessert are the same each day (salade Collioure or Serrano ham with tomato) and creme Catalan. We had the tuna main with ratatouille and new potatoes.... More

Trip advisor said that El Capillo was good and it was. We visited with friends while on a holiday in Collioure. As with most of the restaurants in the back streets of Collioure, the El Capillo was small and so booking is essential. But the food is so much better than that served by the larger harbor front restaurants. We... More

Collioure is one of the most beautiful towns on the French Mediterranean coast, and the fresh fish in this restaurant is as excuisite as the town itself. Hidden in the backstreets from the overpriced sea front restaurants the fish is very fresh and expertly cooked. A simple meal of sole with potatoes and aioli was fantastic, and for Saturday lunch... Back again and the service, food and value. Can speak English if you want. Fish is the main item on the menu as expected on the coast and they do make a simple fish look amazing on the plate. Good value.

Wow - very surprised and excited about the 3 course plat du menu at this little gem. They were turning people away because they were so full - and obviously news travels fast. Value was fantastic - the Filet de Loupe was probably the freshest and tastiest fish that I have ever eaten. And we voted their Creme Catalan as... More

Both myself and my husband had a very good meal at this little restaurant. The service was also excellent and the waitress with the smiling eyes obviously enjoyed serving customers. The only downside (which I had read from another review), is that the tables are very, very close together. This meant that when we sat down the couple on one... More
