I run a wine and food school in the Languedoc and recently took my group of 10 clients to La Neptune in Collioure. It was without doubt one of the highlights of the trip. Since I first contacted them in January, Thomas the Maitre d' was instantly accommodating and ensured I had the best of everything. Nothing was too much... More

Imaginative food, expertly cooked and presented by warm, professional staff in an unbeatable location by the sea. Who could ask for more? Oh and very fair prices too. The best in town by far. We know as we visit 8 times a year.

we have been years ago when there was a german owner, then it was fabulous! We have been twice in October, the restaurant is of course still very well situated with wonderful sea views, and the quality is ok but a little bit too much prepared in advance! The foie gras was mixed with something else so the overall taste... More

wonderful fresh seafood. Lobster cooked to perfection. Ate here twice while staying in Collioure. The staff were excellent, and each dish was innovative and technically excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely food, great position, great service and not too expensive for the level of culinary delights received.

The first thing to say - if you are in Collioure even out of season and you want to eat in a special restaurant then you MUST book. We were extremely fortunate in securing the last unreserved table in the Neptune for dinner on a special birthday - being a Monday night in late September I did not anticipate this!... More

Constructed of glass, this well-run restaurant nestles half-way up the coastal hill side, over-looking part of the bay, towards the harbour fortifications. The view is spectacular and romantic, particularly in the evening. Although I was worried that the location was so special, there might be less incentive for the kitchen, this was absolutely not the case. The menu is not... More

We had a lunchtime meal here. We were attracted by the fact that it was full, and with good reason. The food is a little nouvelle cuisine ( at least my starter of coquilles San jacques was), and perhaps 12 euros for 5 scallops was a bit extravagant, but they did look and taste exquisite. The Gambas flambed in whiskey... More

We ate at both the restaurant and the la Voille bistro, the food was very good in both, service was prompt and friendly with a good selection of local wines, although the bistro was more restricted. The location is probably the best in Collioure, so you won't be disappointed with either the view or the food.

The local lambs are raised on the salt marshes, so we were told. We were not prepared for the most wonderful rack of lamb ( actually I pinched quite a bit from my husband ) where the meat really melted in our mouths. My sea bass was good too but nothing like the lamb!
