The food was so amazing, the service even more so. Even though I didn't bring dress clothes they made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The wait staff was so kind. This is a dining experience you won't soon forget

Came for Sunday lunch en famile after disastrous affair of Franck Putelet. What a difference! Setting was so beautiful. Although "formal" the staff was extremely friendly attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable about the food. Did not bat an eyelid to the presence of young children. I love that they welcome whole families to come. The food was just... More

I am very happy to pay for a great experience, however I think La Barbacane tried hard but didn't deliver. Don't get me wrong the food was good (although not as accessible as my wife would have liked) the problem was that they tried too hard without really delivering. I enjoyed the food and the amuse bouche or the pre... More

We had the seasonal set menu, the price was very reasonable considering the quality and setting. The food was cooked exceptionally well, and the flavour combination was fantastic. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, highly attentive without being obtrusive. Amazing and completely faultless.

Had a week in Carcassonne during the music festival and Bastille weekend but failed to get tickets for Lana Del Rey. While wandering round La Cite we realised the hotel terrace was right next door to the arena so hatched a cunning plan to eat there on the night of her concert... The setting is amazing - we had a... When you walk over Pont Vieux to a castle for dinner, that turns out to be a delight, then you know you have had a wonderful night. We both went for the taster menu, with my wife requesting for a veggie option earlier in the day which was accommodated for without fuss, but this being France, you might want to... More

Two lovely dinners with great food, great wines and outstanding service. The New Year's Eve dinner and the a la carte dinner were simply outstanding.

There were 8 of us at a round table for the 38 euro lunch. It was quiet being Monday. Beautiful log fire to keep us cosy on a wet cold day. Staff were most attentive, friendly and helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, beautifully presented although not piping hot. ...not a problem for me. Wine and water glasses were... More

Lunch for 38 euros including wine, water and coffee not to mention an excellent amuse Bouche,.cooked by a Michelin star chef.Service and food were elegant in every way. Wine and water were not limited to one glass. I suspect one would need to book well in advance especially in high season. There was a large party of local businessmen today which... More
