A Hidden Gem

This restaurant was recommended to us before we went to Carcassonne, which was just as well because it is tucked away in a residential area and you would not happen upon it. Ate here twice in early July. Unusual setting on Rue des Framboisiers basically in a back garden (enter directly into pool area found it easily to find with help of GPS (also another restaurant on same street). Booked on both occasions and glad that we did. Most of tables were outside with around pool area chairs and tables were comfortable.... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Carcassonne and would have gone again if we had been staying longer. Really great food that was beautifully presented. We also loved the decor and the garden feel of the restaurant. Staff were really helpful and friendly with a free drink on arrival. Best French food I've had in ages.

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, and an aperitif. The outdoor setting was attractive, and the food was sensational. Beautifully presented, with the taste more than living up to the promise created when the plates arrived. Be prepared, however, to find the restaurant in an unexpected part of the town, evidently a mainly residential area. It is also... More

Having reviewed a number of restaurants in Carcassone, my wife and two sons booked Le Jardin en Ville based upon the positive reviews and look of the food and surroundings - having booked online, we were happy to make the effort and head out of the centre to a residential area that is where the restaurant was located. We jumped... More

Has good rating on TA so we tried it. It is a taxi ride to this off the beaten path, neighborhood location-it is a converted house with seating around a pool. The food was OK, the service was poor. OK place to go if you want to be surrounded by smokers during dinner as it is considered "outside dining". Like... More

A quirky restaurant next to the railway and amid a housing estate. You won't find better. Beautifully decorated rooms, very eclectic. Great menu selection . Food is wonderful, beautifully presented and served. Waiting staff very attentive and excellent value.

This restaurant is beautiful with each seating area having its own feel. The food was delicious and the service was good. The price was very reasonable being just €150 for 4 including two bottles of wine! I would definitely recommend the trip to eat here.

Some people really enjoy their job : to give pleasure to their customers! Luc Banne and his wife are as proud and restless as Vatel...could be ashamed of any deception....No risk here : fun and kind of magic : from pan to your plates as delicious as surprising : innovations !

It has been three years since my last visit to Le Clos des Framboisiers and it is still a very good choice and value. We had a party of 6 and with two bottles of wine the bill was only 202 Euros.
