Cheap it is not

Located on the edge of Carcasonne and close to the old citadel, off the beat for public transport but a stiff walk or short taxi ride from the city centre. I don't know how anyone can give this wonderful restaurant anything less than 5 stars. The chef, Franck Putelat is fantastic, we go here two or three times a year to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries etc, although the lunch time menu in the week is amazing value. Two lots of amuse Bouche followed by mackerel in aspic with vegetables. Main... More

My wife and I ate here as a treat while holidaying in Carcassonne, and looked forward to it so much as it's not every day that we eat at a Michelin starred restaurant. We were not disappointed. On arrival for our lunchtime reservation, staff were very welcoming and attentive, without being too gushing. They were more than happy for us... More

We were here as part of the French House Party Gourmet Explorer experience, the first treat was La Marquiere on the other side of the the medieval city of Carcassonne, Le Parc Franck Putelat was the second. A special meal had been pre-arranged for the 4 of us as we settled down to a real treat with several amuse bouche,... More

Marvelous to experience a great two star restaurant at a reasonable price if you go for lunch during the week. We liked it well enough that we went three times over a two month period. Excellent creative food and fine service.

We enjoyed our stay at the hote very much , the location for us was ideal. Situated just far enough away from the hustle and Bustle of both the old and the new town it makes for a relaxing stay. Rooms are very well decorated and luxurious , beds are super comfy. The suite with private hot tub was superb... More

We were in the Carcassonne area for a week or so and were keen to come here for a meal. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but not too much so that we were not seated quickly. Menus and some drinks arrived. Not long after that some house made nibbles arrived along with an assortment of fresh bread rolls... More

Food was ok. Setting was pleasant - out in the garden. Whole experience was ruined by the service. Been to a few restaurants in my time, some with stars. Never been anywhere where the waitor splashes more Evian outside than inside the glass (no apologies) or worse ignore the blatantly empty glasses of me and my child - on a... More

probably one of the best in the area. very good food, with a creative twist ; We took the affair menu and were not disappointed neither by the meals nor by the quantity . nice and modern design, with a view on the garden. good value for money in the category

wonderful place , lovely staff... but a lot of money for very little food ... more time spent listening to the staff telling me about my food than actually eating anything ... left hungry and 100 euro's poorer.....but i cant fault the place and again the staff were amazing . Next day I sat beside a beautiful lac had a... More
