We normally have our main meal at lunchtime and then something lighter in the evenig. we arrived into Carcassone at about 21.15 on Tuesday evening staying at the Posada del Castillo, Enrique ,bless him, had already checked that we would be able to be served after we had got settled and we dutifully turned up at Le Jardin, for a... A lovely garden area, we sat outside under the stars and the fairy lights. the restaurant had been recommended by our accommodation and we were very pleased they did. It was nice and casual and people had brought their dogs which sat under their tables. The food was very good, couldn't fault it at all and the wine was very... More

Very enjoyable setting in a huge outdoor area. Basic seating and very casual atmosphere. Food is well prepared, with an outside barbecue for meats. Staff was a bit overwhelmed but tried their best to meet our needs. Probably a bit easier to get in here than in other restaurants in the old section of town.

Turned up without a reservation at this ( not too obvious ) restaurant located almost under the walls of La Cite in Carcassonne. Cheerful friendly welcome and table found for 4 people , no fuss. The €20 (3x course) menu was excellent for our purposes ,with a litre and a half of "pichet" red wine and cafes total bill per... More

For 15 euro you get a choice of starters mains and desert. In winter you eat inside in a tastefully designed dining room. I had the el pano to start followed by entrecote steak with pepper sauce and frites, for desert ihad lemon sorbet. all tasty. My dining companion had egg mimosa followed by baked camembert with charcuterie and potatoes. For... More

Discovered this restaurant by chance as it was near our B&B. Opted for the €25 menu as it had a good selection and included wine. Food was authentic French, excellent produce, well cooked and good service. Being a Friday night it was also busy which added to the atmosphere. Would recommend if you are in area looking for somewhere to... More

We enjoyed a relaxed meal here and can't really fault anything, except time it took to get the bill (which other reviewers have commented on).

On recommendation we went to this restaurant. Beautiful setting in old courtyard on lovely sunny evening. Have open woodburning stove where they cook. Really enjoyed the evening and would high recommend this restaurant - staff very pleasant.

On the Sunday of our 3 day break in Carcassonne we were despairing of finding a nice restaurant for our evening meal, a lot don't open on a Sunday evening. We were driving round and found one we thought looked OK but couldn't find anywhere wo park so carried on. Thank goodness we couldn't park as when we drove on... More

Chose the 25 Euro set menu and extremely disappointed. Starter tartare salmon was minced raw salmon with skin left on, no flavourings and half plate of lettuce leaves. Main course duck (3 euros extra) arrived swimming in blood with frozen chips. My husband asked for medium steak which also arrived swimming in blood. We both asked for further cooking, but... More
