Asked for a salad which took quite a long time to arrive. When it did, the greens were fresh and the dressing quite nice but the hard boiled egg was unacceptable as the egg yolk was almost totally dark green. I pointed that to the waitress who took it back, never to return with another one. When I asked, it... More

I love cassoulet, and have gone so far as to make my own duck confit so I can spend two days making cassoulet. Before my trip, I found a website "routedescassoulet.com" which lists 23 restaurants in the region which are certified by this group. Three of them are in La Cite; none are in the ville basse. I decided to... More

This lovely restaurant is down a pedestrianised road between Place Carnot and Porte des Jacobins. They have nice outdoor seating on the street, and inside looks good too. We had a lovely lunch here, mixing a fixed menu option with some specials of the day. The cassoulet was very good, as was the Toulouse sausage. The best but had to... More

Small, family run. Owner was excellent. Service superb. Food was exactly as one would expect for the price(€60) three courses and a bottle of excellent Fitou. Had confit du canard which was superb. Salmon also lovely. Would go again. Away from main square so quiet and discrete.

Very friendly, helpful, waiter/owner who was happy to make enquiries with the occupants of the table he proposed to seat us next to, to ensure we would not be subsequently disturbed by cigarette smoke. We weren't, and ended up making friends with the two Canadian gentlemen diners next to us who informed us that they'd dined here several times before.... More

Looking for somewhere for dinner in a new town, we struggled as most of the recommended places were a little further than we wanted to walk. Places we saw earlier in the square seemed now to be just bars. So with time moving on we were pleased to come across this restaurant. Very friendly welcome, place was fairly busy. Sadly... More

Good value. Friendly service. Reasonable menu. Nothing bad to say at all. But not exceptional. Better to be had in Carcassonne

Just stopped as needed a coffee and loo stop. What a delight. The coffee was superb as was the service and atmosphere. Not often I bigger putting a review on just for coffee, but this was exceptionally nice.

We didn't have high expectations of this establishment but the food was a lovely surprise, tasty and very reasonable in the new town.

Try the Cassoulet a local speciality. One of the best around. Lovely husband and wife team, in the centre of town, easy to find being opposite the theatre and near the town gate. Clean and typically French.
