Delicious!

Having had a late lunch, we didn't eat dinner til late. We wandered around looking at menus and whilst standing outside Cafe de la Comedie the owner approached us and handed us a menu which included English. We decided to eat here and very pleased we did. After driving from Marseilles to Carcassonne and getting lost along the way a few times we were famished. It was after 3pm when we got to our apt. We thought it might be impossible to get a good lunch anywhere at this time of day. After walking into the main town, through the arch, across from the fountain, we came... More

We arrived in Carcassonne at noon to pick up a car. By the time we returned to the hotel it was past 2 pm. Our hotel manager recommended Cafe de la Comedie, a fifteen minute walk away. The restaurant was nearly empty, and the staff appeared busy, but the food was out of this world - French Onion Soup, seafood... More

Close to the centre but not so close to be a tourist place. Decent meal and good service. Popular with French (which is always a good guide).

Great service, great food. Reasonable price. Fast food isn't normally this quick. I had the Salad Gourmand, although most British eaters used to British food might turn their nose up at the ingredients I could not fault the taste. If anything too much on the plate. For 16 euro though, I didn't mind leaving some.

So glad we chose this restaurant. Not in the the real touristy square of town, but still close enough to the centre. We had one night in Carcassonne, and this place was a huge success. Cassoulet was great (first time we tried this) and the dessert of the day (raspberry tart) was fantastic. Restaurant manager and staff could not be... More

Delicious cassoulets and very friendly easy going service. All the family enjoyed the meal which is a rarity to the extent we may come back again.

When you go out for a meal you want to be made welcome and to be served good food. Here you get both! Classical French cafe/restaurant with excellent service.

My wife and I had a truly magnificent meal at this restaurant. I drank the house red, which was an excellent Corbierre and ate wonderfully well cooked and presented meal served in a friendly manner in excellent English. No pretensions, just very good in all aspects.,
