A nice bistrot underneath the restaurant

Underneath the restaurant, there is a small bistrot called "Le Bistrot d'Auriac". It has the same chef, but is not as high-status as the restaurant above. The bistrot serves good food, but in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere. The seats outside has a nice view to the golf course's tee #1. While... read more

they call it: "gourmet restaurant" and they have a impressive menu card with stiff prices. the wine list is also a book. you will meet a maitre-D and a sommelier. all together one expects usually a restaurant rated gault millau 17 points and up. on the plate though, i would give a rating with a lot of goodwill of maximum... the restaurant is superb, I had the feeling of dining in a castle, the cutlery was silver, the carpets extremely clean, and the service impeccable. We chose le domaine menu entry had a foie gras with mushroom and an egg cooked at low temperature, one file entree, dessert and a perfect souffle, the pre dessert was divine too, was a... More

We were pleasantly greeted by a team of servers when we arrived at the restaurant. After being sat at a romantic table on the patio, the server noticed one of our glasses had a leaf in it and quickly replaced it without saying a word. We ordered a la carte items as the prices are rather jaw dropping across the... More

The restaurant offers a wider range of menu and a la carte options. As a one starred Michelin restaurant, the food definitely lived up to expectations. Service was friendly and prompt. The dining room overlooks the well attended gardens, and atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant is part of a large country house/hotel, and was reminiscent of old country living. A... More

We arrived by taxi from Hotel de la Cite -- a very short taxi ride from our hotel for 3 nights. The receptionist was quite sweet and welcoming and offered us an aperitif in their beautiful salon because the restaurant was not yet open for the evening. Nice start, but retro-spect, I think we were waiting in the adjacent room... More

We dined here on two successive nights, once on the terrace and once in the elegant dining room. Let us start with the good points, because there are many. The service was excellent throughout from the receptionist to the maître d'hôtel, our table waiter, the sommelier and the girls who kept us well supplied with rolls. Each evening a friendly... More

We happened into the Domaine d'Auriac by accident, looking for the bistro at the adjacent golf course. We were extremely well treated, especially considering that we were underdressed. The staff treated us very well, including speaking excellent English. The food was marvelous, the service perfect. The restaurant is very elegant, including beautiful oriental carpets. And the price is very high.

This classy-elegant one star Michelin restaurant is the best that could happen to you after a noisy, tiring day in the breath taking castle of Carcassonne!!! The ambiance , the beautiful Garden you get to see sitting on the spacious, yet cosy veranda of the castle- if you have the chance of an outdoor dining in summer-, is really an... More

Excellent food and service. Good varied menu and wine list. Someone always there during the day in case you may want a drink or snacks. Happy to oblige to special dietary requests and occasions.
