This is a tiny little restaurant full of memorabilia from the 50's-70's. My husband and I ordered steak. It was good. The veg was exceptional. mash potatoes with olive tapenade (scrumptious). The veg came in little glass jars and it was very tasty. They had a large specials board with lots of choices. I would defiantly visit if I was... More

Had our favourite dinner of our holiday in Carcassonne in this cosy restaurant - wonderful food with a very nice ambience, a million miles from the touristy restaurants in the cite. We had the prawns and veal, which were both delicious. Also the kids enjoyed their kids menus, which is a nice touch in a good restaurant. Would recommend it... More

It was recommended by my host and I was very happy I followed his advice. When I visited Carcassonne, everything was closed due to a holiday and only very touristic restaurants were open so this one for me was water in desert. Delicious food, nice outdoor seating, and not too pricey for being in Carcassonne. Really recommend it!

We dined here mid week and my wife was looking for a vegetarian break from the surfeit of red meat beloved by the French. Though my veal was excellent with some wonderful flavours the vegetarian option was rather dull and unimaginative ( simply a platter of the vegetables of the day served with a small portion of the gazpacho starter.... The friendly attentive waitress and the inventive clean fresh flavours made our evening meal. The written menu did not do justice to the plates delivered to our table, seared tuna and fabulous salad, the best we have had in France and full of well partnered ingredients. The scallops and celeriac, the deserts, the veal with lemon all were such a... More

We booked the table a few weeks in advance to avoid not getting a table. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially considering my broken french. The restaurant, to look at, does not stand out, I suppose this give it an edge. but the food. oh my, what a fantastic meal. one of the best ive had whilst in... More

A small and cozy restaurant next to the city square. The staff spoke english and was very service-minded. We ordered the vegetarian dish and got 5-6 different small presentations of vegetables. You get a very old and local atmosphere, so I recommend this restaurant with no doubt.

A tiny restaurant, nice atmosphere with menu written on chalkboard on wall. We visited for dinner on two occasions. Reservations were handled efficiently. On the first occasion the weather was cold and unsettled so there was no outside seating. There was one server who was very pleasant and attentive and seemed knowledgeable about the food and wine; we had a... More

We wandered and wandered and came upon this small, quaint restaurant. The first thing that gave us a very favorable impression was the friendly, attentive staff. The food was excellent. I had one of the best scallop dishes I have ever had. Ordered based on reviews from Trip Advisor. My husband had foie gras with peaches. Truly great.

We had dinner one night during our stay. The cafe is just off the square, tucked on a dead-end street, which makes dining very quiet. The husband (chef) and wife (front of the house) team were excellent. We sat outside and enjoyed both the food and the conversation with neighbors at other tables - Australians and an English couple from... More
