We had lunch here on our last day in Carcassonne. My wife had a foie gras salad starter as a main and I had a fish platter.main. The latter was outstanding both in quantity and quality. It included a whole lemon sole, a piece of salmon, a tail piece of sea bass, a piece of white fish that i could... More

We chose the €19.50 menu which started well with a decent starter but went downhill rapidly after that. The steak was gristly, fatty and over cooked with cold vegetables. The dessert would appear to have been chosen for us and was just dumped in front of us with no explanation. The staff seemed very unconcerned about anything including whether our... More

We really enjoyed our evening meal here. Friendly & helpful staff, who tried their best to translate for us when needed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Though, or perhaps because, we arrived at the end of lunch without a reservation, we managed to get the last table in the house. The 3-course lunch menu of scrumptious choices between various meats or seafood salads and hot dishes was a sumptuous warmup for a rich dessert. Between us all, we tried all the desserts offered with the menu,... More

We asked a local shopkeeper for a restaurant recommendation and he gave us just one - Auberge des Lices. The restaurant itself is very cute and tasteful, the service excellent and the set menu at €19.50 very good value. I ate a delicious scallop and artichoke salad with guacamole to start followed by the local speciality 'Cassoulet', and to ensure... More

Tasty, crispy, including pork and duck, followed by good desserts. Indoor and outdoor seating. Husband thought it spectacular, wife found the a la carte serving far too large, nonetheless delicious.

Located within the walls of the old city, this realy is a little gem. We had the 40 € menu, which was actualy realy good value for money, considering it was comprised of 6 courses. The quality of the food was excellent, unlike many of the touristy places we tried during our trip through the south of France. So good... More

We were in France for 8 nights, and ended up eating in a different place every night, except for the last night when we chose to eat in Auberges des Lices for the second time. The food was excellent, in particular the suckling pig that I had, there was a long reasonably-priced wine list, and we found the staff helpful.... More

With the exception of one other couple my wife and I were the only customers but that didn't worry us as the food was very good - the cassoulet was especially noteworthy. Good and reasonably priced wine list. The waiter was very pleasant and the absence of a common language (my poor French being matched by his limited English) didn't... More
