The almost best meal of my life!

We had two and half very enjoyable hours with fantastic service and food that was brilliant. The cassoulet was superb and a yardstick by which all future cassoulets would be measured. Then we thought we would have desert, it was a long wait to order and then an hour from ordering until service! It... read more

Be sure to book a table because this restaurant seems full every night. In winter time they only open at 7:30. The portion of cassoulet is huge, almost enough for 2 people, so be careful of eating a starter as well. Very interesting starters on menu though. I had springrolls filled with foie GRAS and fig with a sweet and... More

This restaurant is in a quiet back street near the police station in the old cite, you could pass it without noticing as the outside is very plain. However, inside it is a beautifully presented restaurant, the staff are very friendly and informative regarding the menu and the wine choice. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. We ate... More

We enjoyed a dinner in the patio area of the restaurant on a weekend. I thought the service was certainly adequate considering the weekend crunch. The food was tasty and well prepared. Since it is very close to Hotel de La Cité, you can easily walk over in a matter of minutes. There are a lot of restaurants inside the... More

It was a goal of mine to enjoy Cassoulet in Carcassonne. Day 1. I did a great deal of research in an effort to find a quintessential Cassoulet in this beautiful French City. I settled on this nice little restaurant in the old Cite. I was not disappointed. The main course arrived... it was bubbling... perfuming the whole area... in... More

There are many restaurants in the old town of Carcassonne but this one stands out above the rest. Don't be put off that the entrance is down an alley once inside you will find an up-market restaurant with a fine ambience, attentive staff, and a great menu. The food is of good quality and I would heartily recommend this place.

We had the menu of the day and it was an excellent value for an excellent meal. All three courses were very good and the desert was truly outstanding, a pear tiramisu.

On a recommendation we visited the La Cite at late afternoon to take in the evening and dinner. There were a lot of choices but I think we made the right one. Our first choice was full and they kindly assisted us in booking the restaurant. The atmosphere was authentic and the food great at a reasonable price. We had... More

Don't excellentch menu, exciting, refreshing and imaginative. Surprising touches and beautiful presentation. Excellent value for money. We can highly recommend. Don't judge the restaurant from the outside, down a side alley way hidden within the city walls, lacking in colour. Go inside and discover colour and warmth. Our only real criticism is the radio music playing.... it is worthy of... More
