Went here on the recommendation of a local whilst on holiday, typically all the restaurants in Carcassonne close at lunchtime (12-2). Convenient. Le Jardin is bizarrely hidden away in a housing estate and essentially looks like you're dining in someone's garden, that said the atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed, the service is excellent, the food is fresh and excellent... Le jardin en ville was a surprising find, good in every aspect! The food was delicious and was served in double quick time. As well as this the staff were pleasant and attentive. The décor is outstanding and the whole theme ties in with the atmosphere. I am just sorry that we visited on our last night in Carcassonne, as... More

Spent a fantastic two and a half hours at this restaurant. The time sped by, with the waiting staff attentive but relaxed. We started off with the sharing platter which was excellent, and all four of us - including my 11 and 13 year olds - demolished the steak and veg for main. No kids menu, but it didn't matter.... Despite a lot of people arriving at once the service was very efficient, and the food was wonderful.

This quirky restaurant in a suburban setting is quite a find. The welcome was warm and the service particularly attentive. The menu was different and had enough selection without being too long. We enjoyed a shared tapas to start and then, if you like fish, the selection of sea food was exceptional. The French chef was even able to cook... More

When we walked in our welcome and impression of the décor was very positive. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden with stylish interior. Immediately we were impressed by this and by the very friendly attentive host who made a great effort to converse with us in our limited French. We were excited to try the food as the... More

The food was fantastic. None of our little group of four are meat eaters, but Le Jardin En Ville served up a large and extremely delicious salad which suited us extremely well. Upstairs is an art gallery, and the restaurant reflects the arty interests of the owners. The restaurant is located in the middle of a housing estate, which isn't... More

Le Jardin en Ville - placed in the middle of an area with private houses - is a great surprice. The "loft" style, the warm welcome by Alban and his staff, the food and wine is worth visiting.

As our group of 4 walked to the restaurant from the train station, we started to worry we wrote down the wrong address because we were in a decidedly residential section of town, but then we turned a corner and came upon this oasis - a cozy, warm and friendly restaurant set in a beautiful garden. We arrived with no... More
