We ate on the terrace overlooking the very pretty garden. It is quiet and very atmospheric. The food was good traditional French cooking. Nothing exciting but just good stuff. We enjoyed our evening very much.

Restaurant is located in a pretty little hotel about 10 mins from Carcassonne. Excellent service. We had filet and Turbot. Starter of cold melon soup. Dessert was a chocolate custard type cake and cheese bases custardy flan type thing. Nice bottle of local white. Great food, service and surroundings. Would return.

Located in a centuries old mill, this restaurant couldn't be more charming. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, it would make sense to be early and wander the grounds before dinner. The menu was classic French. From the asparagus creamy soup amuse bouche to the fresh sauteed foie gras to the fish and lamb to the home made sorbets, we could... More

Don't be like me, and narrow your choices to those restaurants with the Cité, or its close environs. The outlying villages (2-10k) harbour some gems, and this is one of them! It is well-recommended in the Michelin Guide, and often these are better than many of the starred restaurants. The Chateau Saint Martin certainly ranks with many 1* I have... More

This was next to our hotel (Hotel Bastide St. Martin) which was actually located in a neighborhood subdivision minutes from Carcassone. The walk was through a peaceful beautiful garden. Reservations are required and this night it appeared all dined on the back patio. This was elegant food, perfectly prepared with the usual 3 course dinner. The wine was local and... More

We try to visit whenever we are in the area. Our lunch experience has always been exceptional. Great food, great local wines, attentive service and the outdoor setting is wonderful. As we said in a previous review "not to be missed".

Just lovely - all that you would expect a French Chateau dining room to provide. Charming service and lovely food - silver domes and everything. The wine was gorgeous - wish we could remember the name of it! We were a pair of British eejits landed here due to nearby hotel not providing any lunch, but had the best meal... More

Immaculate apricot decor in charming chateau location - a little hard to find at night. Great food balancing regional specialties with best of French gourmet traditions. Excellent value wine list. Topped by exquisite service. As English we were made to feel entirely welcome. Came away at under £100.00 for two. A great finish to our Carcassonne short break.

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant on a Monday afternoon where we were the only diners there . We had the entire terrace to ourselves and enjoyed the 60 Euro menu which was very tasty. The service was great and the family that runs it are very friendly.
