Fabulous food and service

We ate here twice during our stay. The food was well presented, plentiful and reasonably priced for the quality received. There were several set menus and also á la carte. Service was attentive

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The serving staff were attentive and made our evening there so pleasurable. The food was absolutely delicious and the recommendation of wine by the staff to accompany our meal was spot on. If we were able to spend more time in the area we would have definitely returned to savour the other dishes on the... More

This is a good quality authentic French restaurant, set in a stunning building in beautiful grounds. We had the best quality meal here of our three week trip through France and Spain. We only had the budget (30€) menu but this was still splendid and came with an amuse bouche and coffee. The selection of wines was excellent and the... More

After spending 5 nights in Arles and having many excellent meals, we (4 people) agreed that this meal was the best of all. Great service, great food.

We ate at Chateau Saint Martin because it was a short walk from the La Bastide Saint Martin Hotel, but we'd travel a lot further to eat there just about any night. It's in a beautiful house surrounded by a garden; you are welcome to dine indoors or out. We enjoyed their amuse bouches, particularly a pate de choux filled... More

We ate on the terrace overlooking the very pretty garden. It is quiet and very atmospheric. The food was good traditional French cooking. Nothing exciting but just good stuff. We enjoyed our evening very much.

Restaurant is located in a pretty little hotel about 10 mins from Carcassonne. Excellent service. We had filet and Turbot. Starter of cold melon soup. Dessert was a chocolate custard type cake and cheese bases custardy flan type thing. Nice bottle of local white. Great food, service and surroundings. Would return.

Located in a centuries old mill, this restaurant couldn't be more charming. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, it would make sense to be early and wander the grounds before dinner. The menu was classic French. From the asparagus creamy soup amuse bouche to the fresh sauteed foie gras to the fish and lamb to the home made sorbets, we could... More

Don't be like me, and narrow your choices to those restaurants with the Cité, or its close environs. The outlying villages (2-10k) harbour some gems, and this is one of them! It is well-recommended in the Michelin Guide, and often these are better than many of the starred restaurants. The Chateau Saint Martin certainly ranks with many 1* I have... More
