This is proper Italian food. Everything was perfectly prepared from the amazing bruschetta to the spaghetti pino and the pizza Italia. Worth a visit

Spaghetti alla carbonara is one of my all time favourite dishes and the one we had here was the best I've ever had. The chef himself came out and served the hot noodles personally with a very fesh raw egg yolk in a half egg shell on top of the spaghetti. Stirred into the mix just before eating, this added... We wanted a vegetable pizza as a carry out and we were not disappointed - it was superb one of the nicest pizza's we have tasted. Really enjoyable and would recommend L'Italia - staff were very nice too.

Do not come to this restaurant expecting authentic Italian or even American style pizza. Although run by Italians, the pizzas are definitely French in style. The crusts are think and crispy (like frozen pizza) and most of them come with Emmental cheese. When I ordered a green salad (specifically just greens, without the typical cheese and meat) I received one... More

We walked to this restaurant from the area where all the canal boats tie up. We had 2 pizzas for three people -- about 12 euros each pizza. The pizzas were quite good. The place is kind of a "hole in the wall" -- not much in the way of decor or atmosphere, but good food.

We stopped in the pavement area for just a shared pizza and two wines, before embarking on a boat trip. The menu prices were good - and the pizza was ace (quite enough for two people who normally eat only small lunches - hence the share). All had been very pleasant, very friendly. We were wondering about coming back for... More

4 well travelled, food savvy eaters. Spaghetti fruits de mer is unbelievable. €15 per person and it's absolutely laden with seafood. Lots of large prawns, langoustine, mussels, small crevettes and squid. Other meals also excellent. One of the best meals ever. Restaurant is understated... It's about the food!

The pizzas and salads are HUGE and cost about 10-12 euro each. They were delicious too, and the waitress was genuinely friendly and smiled warmly throughout - amazing service! Highly recommended.

We three all had the pasta dishes. Tasteful meals with generous portions. Reasonably prices. The spaghetti fruit de mer, which I had, was the highlight. An incredibly large helping of large prawns, mussells, shell fish, oh and yes spaghetti under it all. It also was very tasteful. This is an Italian run establishment with very pleasant service. I would not... More

The pizzas were nice and authentic, however the ambience was somewhat lacking. Although the food was reasonably priced, but certainly not cheap, the service was somewhat lacking (despite the fact we were the only people in the restaurant!).
