We were hoping to eat here having read good reviews on this site. Having found the restaurant earlier in the day, we were dismayed to find it closed while others were still serving. A quick check on the website confirmed that it closed on Mondays. Looking for an alternative we discovered it was not only very much open and but... More

We were lucky to get a table here without a reservation. The food was really good and the view of the old city walls was lovely. We ordered from the menu de jour but i think anything from these kitchens would be great ! We had a bottle of local white which was as good as anything you could get... More

On the recommendation of other guests at our hotel we went for dinner at 7:30pm. The restaurant terrace was very busy but we were greeted pleasantly and seated immediately. The restaurant is air conditioned but most people chose the terrace for the view of the battlements. Service was a little slow due to the volume of patrons, however, we were... More

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of our B&B and we are glad we paid it a visit. Like many restaurants in the old city, you can chose from set menus depending on the price you want to pay. We chose the €15.50 per head menu and thoroughly enjoyed what we had. We managed to get the last table... More

Great vieuw, great quality of food, great service. In the heart of the medieval town, just in front of the castle, you can enjoy a meal in the terrace. Great service, kind and smiley waiters, uncommon for France. Think about asking for the Cassoulet, typical dish of the region!

We ate here recently and enjoyed the 3 course fixed price meal with the cassoulet, salad, and dessert. The view is lovely, the price is right, and the food was good. We came by in the afternoon and booked for that evening and were glad we did, as the tables filled up fast. The service was a bit rushed and... More

Friendly staff, wonderful food and a glorious position on the ramparts. This restaurant is tucked away behind the Haunted House. It has a lovely seating area outside and a delightful cosy restaurant inside. Food really delicious . The friendly staff make the experience one to remember. This restaurant is away from the crowded centre of Carcassonne Citie which made it... More

Excellent food and atmosphere. We ate here twice as the food, service and value for money was so good. The baked Camembert and cassoulet are yummy, well worth a visit so don't miss out :)

Like most reviewers have mentioned, Adelaide has a wonderful view of the city walls (see photos), but be aware that those tables usually require reservations. We stopped by at 7 PM on a Wednesday and even though most of the tables were empty, we were told that we had to sit inside. Sure enough, by the time we finished our... More

We had to dine at Adelaide, as Carcassonne is practically shut down on a Sunday night, even during vacation. Aside from the location, the service is average, the food is average. The place is noisy and agitated. The maitre d' does a great job of keeping the wait staff on a short leash. In short, your classical touristy restaurant. Being... More
