We were not in Carcassonne long enough to try all of the recommended Cité restauants, but, while the Plats Principals really shown well at Comte Roger, the entire meal was very good at La Marquière. We ate there twice, and we had excellent froi gras, duck, cassoulet and sea breem. Good reasonably priced local wines were recommended (Minervois Domaine de... More

I would agree with most of the other reviews on this restaurant. Good service and very good food. I had the excellent beef fillet with pan seared foi gras, followed by a light lemon type of creme, crumble, custard and a 1/2 bottle of excellent red wine. Total came to around €45 Nice atmosphere and reasonable price.

Ate here twice for dinner whilst staying in the cite. The first time was so good that we decided to return. Very well presented french food. Lovely , hospitable waiter/waitress. Looked at the menu online and booked online also without a hitch.Really enjoyed the evenings. Recommended to a friend who is visiting Carcassonne in May. The French also dine here... More

Good meal and great service. We had a chocolate dessert which was a ball of chocolate filled with fruit, cake and cream. Hard to describe but worth the trip to the restaurant.

We recently spent 5 nights and having read the reviews on Trip Advisor decided to book in advance for a table at La Marquiere. It was a good job that we did as the couple that walked in before us that evening were turned away. We had decided to have the set menu at 38€ together with the 3 glasses... More

We stumbled across this place on our last day in Carcasonne. Could not fault the place, food was very good, wine selection was excellent. They were very accommodating as we had little French and happily spoke on English. You were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy your meal, without being disturbed or feeling rushed. Lots if added extra's... More

The huitres and langostinos were great! The duck leg was dry and not fresh. Very good potatoes. Nice service.

We had dinner at La Marquiere. When visiting Carcassone during the day it is hard to believe that you can find such delicious food in the old city. The starters and main were excellent and the desserts were superb. The service was friendly and efficient. It was our best dinner during our week in France. Highly recommended.

We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night and so glad we did. The decor is quite formal but tasteful and comfortable. We both had the lovely pumpkin veloutee, my husband had the duck (which he is still raving about) and I had a superb sea bass. I finished with a chocolate sphere, that melted when the... More
