We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night and so glad we did. The decor is quite formal but tasteful and comfortable. We both had the lovely pumpkin veloutee, my husband had the duck (which he is still raving about) and I had a superb sea bass. I finished with a chocolate sphere, that melted when the... More

This restaurant is situated in the old town of Carcassonne. As entree we had goose livet which was delicious. The main course was Saint Jaques, which was OK as was the dessert based on lemon and cream. But the service was a disaster. We had to wait a long time for everything: dishes, water, wine, clearing the table etc.

Nice restaurant in the old city with ambience. We had salmon tartare and pumpkin soup for starters. For our mains we had cassoulet and steak with foie gras: both were wonderful. For desert we shared the chocolate sphere. The service was pleasant and friendly and the space was desirable. I would recommend this restaurtant.

We had a very good dinner. We both had a starter and a main which cost around E30 per person. The starters were great pumpkin soup was exceptional and the foie gras was very good. My fillet steak was very good and my wife had the local cassoulet which was also very good. Their wine recommendation was also good. Service... More

As part of a group of 12 (six couples), we made a reservation to kick-off our boat trip down the Canal du Midi. Reservations were made on-line and a set menu agreed with the restaurant a couple of weeks before without any problems. The menu had 3 choices for starter and dessert and 4 choices for the main course. My... More

Intimate with not many seats, food quality and choice were excellent, and service very efficient and pleasant. Would definitely visit again when next in Carcassonne.

Just what we needed after an afternoon sightseeing. Very comfortable and attentive service. Can't remember what we ate but I know it was good. Not a tourist rip-off. Would definitely go again

My wife and I visited whilst spending three days in Carcasonne. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, the service attentive and professional and the food was good and well presented but we just felt it lacked the 'wow' factor. We enjoyed sardines and salmon tartare to start followed by sea bass and scallops. All the food was very well presented... More

A lovely interior, about as far as you can get from the mob in Carcassonne. Food was well served and presented, although the cassoulet I had was not in any way exceptional. Really needed more than the two servers to keep up with full house.

The chef on our Canal du Midi barge, the Athos, recommended this non-touristy gem as he had been there with his wife, also a chef. I had steak with fois gras and my husband had duck breast. The menu had a variety of dishes. Also you could choose a starter and main for one price or a three course fixe... More
