If you want to soak up the atmosphere in Place St Louis - the heart of Aigues Mortes - then this is the best restaurant we found - as long as you like fish. We sat just inside, to avoid the smokers but still get the atmosphere. Try their scallops (St Jacques) with mashed leeks - Poêlée de Saint-Jacques et... More

Located in the main square which has lots and lots of restuarants this is a great fish restaurant. The fish soup was devine - my main course beef was a little tough but had a nice sauce but the fired potatoes were fantastic. My one grip was the smokers we had surrounsing us. If there hadn't have been so many... More

choose this one of the many restaurants around the square and you will get good service, and good food, as you people watch . the fact that it is some times difficult to get a table shows it has a good reputation. Try the fish soup, and follow with bourride.( fish stew with Aoili )

The Café du Commerce is on the centre of this attractive town and when we went the weather was glorious such that most of the seating was in the square - along with the seating of adjacent restaurants. This restaurant specialises in seafood though it does serve meat dishes as well. You can watch as huge plates of seafood are... More

We had a wonderful al fresco lunch here on a sunny afternoon in early October. We enjoyed the location in the main town square, but even more the excellent food and wine. Fabulous Parmentier de Brandade, soft and fluffy like a soufflé; terrific rosé. Friendly and attentive service.

Our hotel recommended several restaurants but we checked out this one as it just had that look/feel of being a cut above the rest and we are both fish lovers. Due to a misunderstanding we were served one portion of ham & melon to share for our entree and it was plenty for the both of us. We then had... More

This place is big on seafood. We splashed out on Turbot, after entrees of Moules (marinier and gratin), and did not regret this one bit. The whole meal was superb, and with very friendly service, it is not hard to see why it gets packed while other places in the main square are half-empty. Only one complaint though - it... More

Their menu at 20,30 EUR is something that doesn’t exist anymore with this high standard of quality, especially for dinner ! Food, service, table cloth, St-Louis square... we’re close to perfection ! Their food, meat or seafood is very very fresh, well cooked and well presented. Best awards to the oysters and the bull ragoût ! Service was friendly with... More

Being in Aigues Mortes for dinner, we wanted to try the first restaurant on the TA list, the Atelier the Nicolas. As it was closed on Whit Monday we went to Café de Commerce, which is very easy to find as it is located in Aigues Mortes Old Town main square. They also have tables outside, but we ate inside...
