Nice to be treated as a well appreciated customer.

First visit to this restaurant but from the beginning we were treated like well valued customers. Everything was as it should be. Good presentation, good service, good quality of cuisine and at a price that was not exaggerated. Unfortunately the weather didn’t permit us to eat on the square but the... read more

First visit to this restaurant but from the beginning we were treated like well valued customers. Everything was as it should be. Good presentation, good service, good quality of cuisine and at a price that was not exaggerated. Unfortunately the weather didn’t permit us to eat on the square but the glassed in verandah provided a type of outdoor eating... More

Look out for the seafood here. We especially liked the unusual moules grillées and the king prawns. A must-visit restaurant which is on the main square of Aigues-Mortes.

Maybe eating in an Italian restaurant in a French village was our mistake. But the setting in the village square is so attractive.... The meal was so disappointing. The fish were overlooked to dry. The dessert cheeses were served too cold to taste. And uncharacteristically for France, the wine was pricy.

Recommended as one of the best restaurants inside the old castle, we were not disappointed so we decided to come again the second night. Same table was reserved but our nice waiter remembered us and found us another table. My fish, the Dorade, was excellent. Great ambiance under the big umbrellas, fantastic seafood, another great meal the second time around.... More

This restaurant didn't live up to what we expected. It specialises in seafood - I ordered scallops as a main but found them overcooked. My partner had a meat dish and it was nice. Starters and desserts were ok but nothing to shout about - I wouldn't rush back!

We visited this restaurant which was recommended as a good fish restaurant by our hotel (Canal), and although it is situated right on the main square which is very busy with tourists, the staff are very keen to provide a first class service, and the food was very good with a short but reasonably priced wine list

We like many before us took up the opportunity of eating at this predominantly fish restaurant based on previous reviews. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Its a great location in Place St Louis, but beware eating in summer is entirely in the open even in the area separated off for smokers. This means you will be affected by smokers passing by... More

We went to Le Cafe du Commerce based on Trip Advisor reviews and I am sorry to say that we were disappointed. For example, the aubergine starter was rather crudely prepared (whilst finesse doesn't necessarily mean better taste it at least gives an impression of a chef's interest in his trade and pride in his work) and it was pretty... Excellent place, excellent service and excellent food and reasonable price (menu 20,80 €). A very great surprise among the many offers in that square! Simplemente excelente!

If you want to soak up the atmosphere in Place St Louis - the heart of Aigues Mortes - then this is the best restaurant we found - as long as you like fish. We sat just inside, to avoid the smokers but still get the atmosphere. Try their scallops (St Jacques) with mashed leeks - Poêlée de Saint-Jacques et... More
